The conference was chaired by Deputy Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam Nguyen Van Phuc and Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Duong Hoai Nam, with the participation of Vice President of the Czech Confederation of Industry (SPCR), representatives of universities from Vietnam and the Czech Republic, international guests, and representatives of businesses in the Czech Republic and Vietnam.
The conference was organized to promote cooperation in education, training, scientific research and technology transfer between Vietnam and the Czech Republic. Through frank and substantive exchanges and discussions, the conference aimed to enhance connections and understanding between Vietnamese and Czech universities, promote new cooperation programs in the fields of technical training, innovation, digital transformation, towards the establishment of the Vietnam - Czech Republic Center for Education and Research Cooperation, creating a foundation for future academic cooperation, and expanding the connection between education and the business - industrial sector through the support of the Czech Confederation of Industry (SPCR).
Speaking at the Conference, Ambassador Duong Hoai Nam highly appreciated the cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic in the fields of education-training, science-technology, and innovation, as well as in joint research projects. The Ambassador emphasized that the potential for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education-training, science-technology, and innovation is huge, and expressed his hope that the Conference will be an opportunity for both sides to exchange views, thereby opening up opportunities for deeper cooperation in the future.
On the Vietnamese side, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc reaffirmed that the Education Cooperation Agreement signed during Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s visit to the Czech Republic earlier this year is a strategic milestone, opening a new era of cooperation in the field of education and training between the two countries. Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc expressed his hope that in the coming time, the two sides will strengthen cooperation, aiming to expand joint academic initiatives on science and technology, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, as well as establish the Vietnam – Czech Republic Center for Educational Cooperation and Research.
On the Czech side, Mr. Saha, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Czech Technical University, highly appreciated the history of cooperation between the Czech Republic and Vietnam, especially in the field of education and training, and said that promoting cooperation between the two countries in this field plays an important role in training a new generation of highly qualified and innovative people, thereby promoting cultural and social cooperation between the two countries.
Within the framework of the Conference, universities of Vietnam and the Czech Republic signed memorandums of understanding and many other important cooperation agreements in the fields of education-training, science-technology and innovation. The agreements are expected to contribute to promoting cooperation between universities of the two countries in particular and bilateral relations between Vietnam and the Czech Republic in general in the coming time.
