Accelerating preparations for the 80th Anniversary of August Revolution and National Day September 2

On the afternoon of August 15, in Hanoi , the Central Steering Committee for the celebration of major holidays and important historical events of the country in the three years 2023-2025 met to discuss preparations for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Member of the Politburo , Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Steering Committee Tran Cam Tu chaired the conference.

Attending the conference were Politburo members: Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia; Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai.

Also attending were Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and representatives of central ministries and branches.

According to information at the conference, the implementation of commemorative activities has been closely directed by the Secretariat and the Central Steering Committee. All levels, sectors and localities have proactively and actively participated, ensuring synchronization, unity and high efficiency. This is a broad political movement, comprehensively implemented from content, form to logistics and security work, aiming to arouse patriotism, national pride and the will to build and protect the Fatherland.

Commemorative projects and construction items are being rushed to completion. Many cultural and artistic works have been carefully prepared, carrying profound educational significance.

Celebrations, parades, marches, and special art programs were carefully planned, creating a widespread impact.

Propaganda and education work has also been promoted with many publications, films, and reports on many media platforms, creating a vibrant and heroic atmosphere, contributing to strengthening people's trust in the leadership of the Party and State.

In addition to the achieved results, there are still some limitations such as the implementation and organization of commemorative activities taking place at a time when localities, agencies and units are perfecting their organizational apparatus, implementing the two-level local government model and organizing party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, so the concretization of propaganda and commemorative work according to the direction and guidance of the Central and Party Committees in some localities and units is sometimes not timely.

Some remote areas still have difficulties in transportation and internet, leading to many difficulties in implementing cultural and propaganda activities...

Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha said the capital has been making every effort to complete assigned tasks, ensuring that the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) take place solemnly, safely and meaningfully.

The city has completed 3 assigned hosting tasks and is synchronously implementing 8 coordination tasks with central agencies. Preparations for the parade and march have been carried out in a detailed and methodical manner.

From propaganda, logistics, medical work to security, traffic and environmental sanitation, all are planned and implemented scientifically. The grandstands serving the ceremony platform, the ceremonial decoration items, and the LED screen system are all built and installed urgently, ensuring completion on schedule.

Hanoi also pays special attention to the safety of the grandstand, which will welcome tens of thousands of people, and places it first and strictly controls it, the Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee emphasized.

Concluding the conference, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu affirmed that this is a particularly important political task, with profound historical, political and national solidarity significance.

Hanoi City and relevant agencies need to uphold their sense of responsibility, work urgently and specifically, and closely coordinate with the Steering Committee to comprehensively complete tasks, ensure the successful organization of the event, absolute safety, and no mistakes.

The Standing Secretariat emphasized that all opinions contributed at the conference need to be concretized into plans, clearly assigning responsibilities to each agency and unit.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security and Hanoi city must urgently complete the detailed script for the parade, ensuring it is reasonable, grand, and creates a strong spread of patriotism and national pride.

Regarding reception and logistics, the Standing Secretariat requested careful preparation from arranging formal seating for guests, serving drinks and snacks, to welcoming heads of state and international guests.

Hanoi City needs to closely coordinate with the Central Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant units, unify the reception and diplomatic plan, and report to the Politburo and the Secretariat within a week...

Close coordination and high sense of responsibility of all levels and sectors will determine the success of the Celebration, so that the event takes place solemnly, safely, effectively, deepens national pride and spreads widely throughout society, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu emphasized./.
