Many new houses completed
Mrs. Doan Thi Kien's household in village 4, Duc Binh commune (Tanh Linh district) is a poor household with housing difficulties. In recent years, her family has had to live in a dilapidated, seriously degraded wooden house. The dream of having a solid, well-built house seemed like it would never come true. Because she is old (over 60 years old), living by selling lottery tickets is just enough to make ends meet, and her children are grown up but all have difficulties. After many years of living in a makeshift house, Mrs. Kien now has a new house with an area of 96 m2 with a construction cost of about 400 million VND. Of which, Mrs. Kien received financial support from the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses of 60 million VND, the locality mobilized an additional 50 million VND from benefactors, along with contributions and support from family and relatives. Ms. Kien said: “Now living in a new house, I feel secure and don’t have to worry about storms. I am very grateful to the State, local authorities, benefactors and relatives who have joined hands to help me build a new, solid and spacious house.”

Sharing the joy, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoa's household - a meritorious person in village 1, Dong Kho commune, was also supported by the provincial program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses with a budget of 100 million VND, along with the family's contribution to build a new house with an area of 70 m2 with a total value of more than 140 million VND. It can be seen that in recent days, in Tanh Linh district, many new houses from the Project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province have been completed and put into use, helping poor households, near-poor households and meritorious people to have a stable place to live, have more motivation to work, and soon rise up to escape poverty sustainably.
