Making a mark in implementing Plan 68

Implementing Plan 68-KH/TU, dated February 14, 2014 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on implementing the model of "Agencies and units helping communes and villages in difficulty and cadres, party members, civil servants and public employees helping poor households", the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee of Agencies and Enterprises has developed a plan and directed the subordinate grassroots party organizations (TCCSĐ) to effectively implement it.

After 10 years of implementation, this model has helped thousands of households escape poverty, contributing to strengthening the connection between cadres, party members and the people, consolidating the people's trust in the Party and State.

Many effective ways

The family of Mrs. Ro O H Don in Thu village, Krong Pa commune (Son Hoa district) is considered poor. Her husband died early due to a serious illness, leaving her to raise four children alone. Without a stable job, she does whatever people ask her to do, from herding cows for hire, hoeing sugarcane, to pulling cassava...

Sharing Ms. Don’s situation, the Provincial Party Committee Office coordinated with the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to donate a breeding cow, creating a livelihood for her family. Ms. Don shared: “My family is very happy to receive the cow from the units. This cow will help us have an additional source of income to escape poverty soon.”

In addition to Ms. Don's family, 6 other poor households in Krong Pa commune also received breeding cows donated by the Provincial Party Committee Office in coordination with the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board under Plan 68 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee. Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office Vo Van Binh said: "In addition to donating breeding cows, the two units also coordinated to organize many activities to help Krong Pa commune such as: Consulting on completing some criteria for new rural construction; receiving help for 10 poor households; supporting documents, books and other conditions to serve the work of the Commune Party Committee...

Recently, in the spirit of mutual love and support, creating conditions for poor and near-poor households to have a warm Tet holiday, the Provincial Party Committee Office and the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board presented 70 Tet gifts to people in difficult circumstances in Krong Pa commune, each worth 500,000 VND.

The Provincial Youth Union Party Committee is also one of the units with many creative and effective ways to implement Plan 68. Mr. Luong Minh Tung, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Party Committee, said: Implementing Plan 68, over the past 5 years, the Provincial Youth Union Party Committee has carried out many meaningful tasks in Xuan Canh commune, Song Cau town such as: Medical examination, free medicine distribution for people; awarding scholarships to students in difficult circumstances, policy families, poor households...

The Party Committee of the Provincial Youth Union directs the specialized departments of the Provincial Youth Union to organize volunteer activities; thereby helping cadres and party members of the Provincial Youth Union to better understand the political, economic, social situation and people's lives in difficult areas, thereby raising awareness and responsibility for building the homeland and the country.

Bringing Plan 68 deeper and closer to reality

Identifying the implementation of Plan 68-KH/TU as one of the important political tasks in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, in recent times, the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises has directed the Party Committees of the affiliated Party Committees to thoroughly grasp and raise the awareness of cadres, party members, civil servants and employees of the unit about the purpose and significance of the plan associated with the good implementation of the political tasks of the agency and unit.

The Party Committees of the TCCSĐs have contacted localities to identify those in need of assistance and implemented many practical and effective models. In addition to supporting the application and transfer of science and technology in production, the units also provide resources to help poor families and families in difficult circumstances; support students to go to school; organize social activities; and support the construction of houses of gratitude for poor households.

Comrade Tran Huu The, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc, said: “In the past time, the Party Cells and Party members under the Party Committee of the Bloc have well implemented the direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on implementing Plan 68, bringing positive results in Party building work, socio-economic development of the locality and each supported household. In the coming time, the Party Committee of the Bloc will continue to direct the Party Cells to implement Plan 68 in depth, closer to the strengths, functions and political tasks of the agencies and units to create momentum and mark. Thereby, bringing the direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee deeply into the lives of each Party cell and Party member in accordance with the meaning of this model, while spreading good and creative ways of doing things, promoting the pioneering and exemplary role of Party members”.

Through the implementation of Plan 68, many poor households have risen above poverty sustainably; many communes have met new rural standards. In particular, people always trust and implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, thereby contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the Party.
