Create a playground for union members and workers

- In recent years, trade unions at all levels in the province have actively implemented cultural, artistic, and sports movements for union members and workers. Thereby, helping union members have conditions to restore their labor force after stressful working hours, continue to perform their tasks well, and contribute to the overall development of each agency, unit, and enterprise.

Every day, after work, the staff and employees of the Muong Thanh Luxury Hotel's Trade Union actively practice sports. The Trade Union currently has nearly 70 members, and more than 50 employees regularly participate in practicing table tennis, badminton, swimming, etc. Ms. Hoang Phuong Mai, a member of the Hotel's Trade Union, said: Recently, the Trade Union has coordinated with the unit's leadership to arrange additional training rooms (gym, table tennis) and create conditions for us to participate in daily sports practice. Good health and a comfortable spirit thanks to sports have helped me restore my labor force, ensuring that I can complete my assigned tasks well.

Not only the Muong Thanh Luxury Hotel Trade Union, in recent times, the Trade Unions of agencies, units and enterprises in the province have always paid attention to and encouraged the development of cultural and sports activities to promote the movement of the unit. Ms. Ly Thi Minh Thao, Vice President of the Trade Union of Tam Duc Company Limited, said: The Trade Union currently has over 100 Vietnamese workers. In order to improve the cultural and spiritual life of union members and employees, the Company Trade Union has established a pickleball team and 2 art troupes. In particular, from 2024 to now, the Company Trade Union has coordinated with the business owner to upgrade and purchase equipment to build a more versatile sports field.

In order to develop the cultural and sports movement, many trade unions have established and maintained cultural and sports clubs. At the same time, trade unions have proactively organized many diverse activities such as sports tournaments, cooking competitions, art festivals, etc. These activities have contributed to the exchange, learning and bonding of Vietnamese workers; maintaining and promoting the cultural, art and sports movement in trade unions.

From 2018 to now, on average, each year, trade unions at all levels in the province have organized nearly 200 competitions, cultural and artistic performances and sports tournaments attracting the participation of over 150,000 female workers. In the first 9 months of 2025 alone, trade unions at all levels have organized nearly 100 cultural and sports exchanges attracting over 2,000 female workers, typically: Pickleball tournament for full-time union officials in 2025; sports tournament for workers, civil servants and laborers at the provincial level in 2025. At the same time, trade unions at all levels have organized seminars, cultural and sports exchanges, and given gifts to female workers on holidays such as March 8; October 20...

Ms. Hoang Ngoc Thuy, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Work Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee said: In order to organize the cultural and sports movement well in the Vietnamese Labor Union, every year, the Provincial Federation of Labor issues documents directing the grassroots unions to promote propaganda, mobilize workers to actively participate in training and organize appropriate sports activities. At the same time, we also review and select outstanding grassroots unions and union members to submit to the Emulation and Reward Council of the Provincial Federation of Labor for consideration and reward on the topic of "culture - sports". In 2024, 4 collectives and 1 individual were rewarded on this topic.

The timely rewards have motivated trade unions at all levels to organize more and more diverse activities. Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to direct grassroots trade unions to consolidate and improve the quality of cultural and sports movements in grassroots trade unions of units and enterprises. From there, continue to improve the cultural and spiritual life of union members and workers.
