This is not only a summary episode, but also a strong declaration about the future, about the spirit of constant progress of Ho Chi Minh City in the new era.

The film opens with a proud look at the city's 50-year journey, full of hardships but full of glory: From the early days of peace, facing economic crisis and inflation; efforts to rebuild the economy, build export processing zones, industrial parks, transform into a knowledge-based and technological economy; from the deserted swamp, forming model urban areas such as Phu My Hung, Thu Thiem, symbols of integration and sustainable development thinking.

With an economic growth rate always higher than the national average, with important contributions to GDP and the national budget, Ho Chi Minh City has been playing the role of economic locomotive, cultural, political , scientific and technological center of Vietnam.

The episode also mentions the milestones that Ho Chi Minh City is aiming for in the new era of development, with greater goals: Promoting digital transformation, developing green economy, building smart cities; promoting innovation, improving the investment environment, improving the quality of human resources; quickly resolving backlogs, removing development bottlenecks or joining the whole country in making strong strides into the digital age, deeply integrating with the world.

Episode 37 also takes a moment to look to the future through the eyes and dreams of today's young generation. The "future city designs" from children with new, creative and aspirational ideas will be the foundation for Ho Chi Minh City to make a breakthrough in the next 50 years.

The documentary series “Overcoming the Waves – The Story of the City of 50 Blooming Seasons”, produced by Ho Chi Minh City Television Film Studio (TFS), recreated that journey through 37 profound, emotional and proud episodes.

Each episode is a true slice of the tireless efforts of the city's leaders and people; simple yet touching everyday stories; and proud achievements on the journey to turn aspirations into reality.

Not only honoring the achievements, "Overcoming the Waves" also suggests profound lessons and valuable experiences from practice, so that Ho Chi Minh City can continue to steadily move towards the future.

This is a pioneering step, marking an effort to innovate the way of approaching the public, expanding the experience space for modern audiences, especially young audiences who rarely have the opportunity to access the documentary genre in a close, lively and attractive way.
