Also attending were Lieutenant Colonel Vu Hong Phong, Deputy Director of the National Defense - Security Center, Viettel Enterprise Solutions Corporation; along with leaders and commanders of agencies and units of the Vietnam Coast Guard and 54 trainees participating in the training course.

The training course aims to introduce, guide and equip knowledge and skills, helping core staff at agencies and units in the entire force to grasp and proficiently use the software to organize the online contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands"; thereby contributing to the effective implementation of Decision No. 3934/QD-BQP dated September 3, 2024 of the Minister of National Defense on approving the Project to organize the contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands" nationwide for the period 2024 - 2030 and the following years.

In his opening speech, Major General Tran Van Xuan emphasized that the effectiveness of the training course is associated with the quality of propaganda, dissemination and legal education and directly contributes to raising awareness of the sea and islands for the young generation; it is the basis for completing the objectives of Project 3934 that the Ministry of National Defense and the General Department of Politics entrusted to the Vietnam Coast Guard.
On that basis, the Deputy Political Commissar, Head of the Steering Committee of Project 3934 of the Vietnam Coast Guard requested the trainees participating in the training course to uphold their sense of responsibility, focus, seriously absorb all the knowledge imparted; actively exchange, propose ideas and share experiences, good models, and creative ways to contribute to the success of the competition.

This training course focuses on 4 main contents, including: General introduction to the software; instructions on using the software; practice creating and maintaining competitions; checking, evaluating results and exchanging and contributing ideas.
Major General Tran Van Xuan said that the contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands" has been organized by the Vietnam Coast Guard since 2013 for secondary school students across the country.
The contest is one of the outstanding mass mobilization activities of the Vietnam Coast Guard with creative and effective methods to propagate, educate, and raise understanding of Vietnam's seas and islands, the Vietnam Coast Guard Law, and Vietnamese and international laws related to seas and islands for teachers, students and local people.
Through the contest, we contribute to fostering and building patriotism, love for the homeland's sea and islands, and raising the responsibility of citizens in the struggle to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland for the young generation. The contests over the past time have created many good impressions and have had a strong influence in the localities.
