On October 31 in Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Department of Industry and Trade in coordination with Hanoi Technology Transfer and Training Consulting Company Limited organized a training and propaganda conference on the 2023 Free Trade Agreement.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Department of Industry and Trade and departments and branches that are members of the Steering Committee for International Integration of Binh Thuan province, officers in charge of international integration work of units and localities. Also attending were representatives of associations (Binh Thuan Enterprises, Binh Thuan Seafood, Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit, Phan Thiet Fish Sauce), enterprises, cooperatives, production and business establishments in the province and lecturers and students of Phan Thiet University...
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Bien Tan Tai - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said that enterprises wishing to successfully export to markets with free trade agreements must meet the criteria on the origin of goods, ensure food safety and hygiene requirements, technical standards of each market... In particular, enterprises need to familiarize themselves with the trade defense measures that importing countries can apply to protect their domestic production industries.
Therefore, at this conference, Dr. Tran The Tuan - lecturer of Hanoi Technology Transfer and Training Consulting Company Limited focused on conveying some main contents. Including: Rules of origin in new generation free trade agreements (CPTPP, EVFTA, UKVFTA, RCEP) and issues that localities and businesses need to pay attention to; Export in the context of new generation free trade agreements and legal considerations for businesses; Solutions to improve the competitiveness of businesses when participating in new generation free trade agreements...
Thereby contributing to equipping knowledge, improving skills in policy advisory work in accordance with local practices and international economic integration trends for relevant subjects. At the same time, recognizing and having a comprehensive view of legal issues, ensuring the interests of enterprises in international economic integration to overcome challenges, making good use of opportunities brought by the Free Trade Agreement.
