Focus on solutions to handle air pollution

The level of air pollution in our country tends to change seasonally and is differentiated by region.

In urban areas, air quality depends largely on urban scale, population density, especially traffic density and construction speed in these urban areas.

Among the air quality pollution problems, dust pollution continues to be a prominent air environment problem.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment proposed to consider implementing a number of measures in breakthroughs in target determination; breakthroughs in reforming policies on management and enforcement of air pollution control; breakthroughs in source identification; breakthroughs in financial activities; piloting emission reduction targets in 7 key economic provinces in the North and Ho Chi Minh City; directing key points and continuing to improve existing mechanisms and policies on air pollution control.

The conference also listened to recommendations and proposed key tasks and solutions of ministries, branches and localities in improving air quality that have been and are being implemented.

In his concluding remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized that air pollution is a huge problem and challenge today. Based on the opinions and recommendations, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that units focus on immediately implementing comprehensive and urgent tasks and solutions to handle air pollution.

In particular, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment presides over and works with ministries, branches and localities to organize the assessment of air pollution parameters and indexes in localities in a clear and specific manner,... From there, there will be plans, goals, and immediate implementation measures and solutions to bring air quality to safety, ensuring that it does not affect people's health ; pay attention to establishing a system of scales, levels of measurement, counting, closely monitoring parameters, regulations, standards and inspecting, supervising and handling according to the roadmap and goals to reduce pollution indexes related to each field affecting air quality;.../.
