At the program, a large number of cadres, civil servants, public employees, fishermen, fishing boat owners and people in Xuyen Moc district were informed by reporters from the Coast Guard Region 3 Command about the security situation at sea and on islands in the area; and disseminated legal regulations related to fishing activities, especially regulations on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.
Along with that, the program launched the movement "Joining hands to protect the environment", with the coordination of Xuyen Moc District Youth Union, armed forces and socio-political organizations in the area. Hundreds of cadres, soldiers and union members and young people joined forces to clean up and collect garbage along Binh Chau beach, contributing to spreading the message of protecting the marine environment to coastal communities.

On this occasion, the Command of Coast Guard Region 3 presented 50 gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and fishermen in difficult circumstances (each gift included: National flag, life jacket, flashlight, necessities and 500,000 VND in cash).
