BAC GIANG - On the morning of June 7, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province held its regular meeting for May. Comrade Nguyen Viet Oanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, despite many difficulties and challenges, the socio -economic situation of the province in May and the first 5 months of this year still achieved quite positive results. The industrial production value (current price) in May is estimated at 78,037 billion VND, up 36.03% over the same period last year; in 5 months it is estimated at 338,875 billion VND, up 27.06%, equal to 40.2% of the plan.

Total domestic budget revenue in the first 5 months reached over 11,160 billion VND, up 52.5%, equal to 70.7% of the estimate. 11/15 tax revenue items increased higher than the same period. The rate of disbursement of public investment capital by the end of May was equal to 33.11% of the detailed capital plan. The fields ofeducation - training, health care for people were focused on; people's lives were stable; national defense - security, social order and safety were ensured.

In addition to the achieved results, the province's implementation of tasks in the past 5 months still faced challenges: Some industrial production sectors had negative growth. The situation of smuggling, counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, and goods of unknown origin and origin is complicated...

Comrade Mai Son discussed some solutions for operating new administrative units in the coming time.

Mr. Duong Ngoc Chien, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said that so far, the whole province has consumed more than 14 thousand tons of early lychee. Consumption activities are favorable but still encounter some difficulties due to the unsmooth quarantine work at the border gate. In the coming time, the Department will continue to work with the functional agencies of Lang Son province to find solutions to remove and speed up the consumption of lychee.

In the province, many businesses have closed or temporarily suspended operations due to the authorities increasing inspection and tracing of goods origin; changing the form of tax payment from lump-sum tax to tax collection by declaration according to new regulations...

Discussing at the meeting, comrades Mai Son and Pham Van Thinh suggested that after the merger, administrative units need to focus on reforming procedures to operate the new administrative unit well. In the immediate future, it is necessary to focus on organizing training on operating the new apparatus, attaching personal responsibility in handling records for people and businesses.

District and commune levels study and propose locations for one-stop shops at the commune level to serve people and businesses, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted administrative procedures. Review records, especially records related to land use rights, and immediately supplement missing information before canceling the district seal.

Concluding this content, comrade Nguyen Viet Oanh emphasized that in order to comprehensively develop socio-economic fields, from now until the end of the year, departments, branches and localities need to continue to resolutely and effectively implement the Government's resolutions, directives and telegrams of the Prime Minister, conclusions and resolutions of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, resolutions of the Provincial People's Council, and directives of the Provincial People's Committee.

Based on functions and tasks, agencies and localities urgently direct the review and overcoming of shortcomings and limitations in performing tasks; assign specific organizations and individuals to be in charge, associated with year-end emulation assessment and review.

He stated that from July 1, district-level administrative units will no longer operate, therefore, districts, towns and cities need to focus on clearing land for investment projects, creating clean land for businesses to speed up the construction progress of works and projects.

Timely resolve difficulties, ensure public investment disbursement according to the roadmap, closely linked with checking the work, people, and progress; review outstanding debts in basic construction to have a solution. The province will consider the responsibility of organizations and individuals who violate public debt management.

Localities focus on reorganizing the administrative apparatus, reviewing all facilities and equipment, and developing plans for the arrangement and repair of headquarters to ensure effective operations. Functional sectors pay attention to training staff at the commune-level one-stop shop to operate smoothly and meet the requirements for handling administrative procedures.
