Regarding this issue, Dak Lak Newspaper reporter had an interview with him, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DOC).
As of June 2025, Dak Lak has 54 local and central press agencies operating, with more than 250 reporters working, making an important contribution to information and propaganda work at the grassroots level.
Most press agencies in the province have proactively invested in human resources and facilities for digital transformation of the press, focusing on building information transmission products on digital platforms. Dak Lak Newspaper (a unit before the merger) has established a Steering Committee for Digital Transformation and developed a specific action plan until 2030.
The unit is gradually operating a converged newsroom model, promoting the application of technology in the publishing process, developing digital products such as E-magazine, Infographic, video clips... and distributing content on social networking platforms (Facebook, Zalo). The project to develop Dak Lak Electronic Newspaper is being implemented with the orientation of becoming a modern, humane multimedia media agency.

Dak Lak Radio and Television Station (the unit before the merger) has also invested in synchronous digital infrastructure: upgrading servers, storage systems, multi-platform integrated CMS, HD color vehicles, modern recording equipment. In terms of content, the Station has applied new technology (AI, big data, cloud computing) to produce and broadcast on multiple platforms. The number of followers and interactions on social networking platforms such as Facebook, TikTok and YouTube have all grown impressively. Notably, in 2024, the Station produced more than 13,500 digital press products, more than 70% of the content was released in digital format, bringing in revenue from advertising on digital platforms accounting for 35% of total advertising revenue.
However, the results of the province's digital press transformation are still limited: limited resources; outdated and unsynchronized facilities; no clear digital press economic model has been formed; diversification of revenue sources is limited; there is no specific financial mechanism for local press digital transformation; a number of reporters have not yet adapted to the requirements of multimedia and multi-platform operations...
To effectively implement the Digital Transformation Strategy for Journalism by 2025, with a vision to 2030, it is necessary to continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the Central Government's directives on digital transformation of journalism; increase investment in digital infrastructure, content production software and multi-platform content distribution systems. Focus on developing digital human resources, expanding training programs, fostering digital skills for journalists, increasing recruitment of specialized IT human resources; building a modern convergent newsroom model, developing a variety of digital journalism products suitable to readers' needs; strengthening links and cooperation with major press agencies and technology corporations to learn from experience, take advantage of digital platforms and promote information more effectively. Promote communication on digital transformation to raise awareness in society, create consensus and mobilize social resources for this activity.
