Concentrate resources to speed up progress of medical projects

The Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just announced the conclusion of the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee at a meeting on the current status of facilities, planning, development orientation of the industry and investment projects in the health sector in the city.

Accordingly, for public investment projects in the health sector, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong and Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy assigned the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to preside over and urge investors and project management boards to speed up the implementation progress and disbursement of the capital plan arranged for 2025.

Investors and project management boards must direct contractors to focus on mobilizing all resources (human resources, materials, equipment, etc.) according to a 3-shift, 4-shift mechanism to drastically speed up project progress.

For the project of Children's Hospital 2 , the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to urgently complete the Pre-Feasibility Study Report to adjust the project of Building a High-Tech Treatment Center of Children's Hospital 2.

The Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to urgently review and resolve the proposal of the Department of Health on adjusting the design plan for the location of the underground water tank and fire pump house located within the premises of Children's Hospital 2, which is currently stuck in the process of evacuating households.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also assigned relevant agencies to urgently complete the relocation of households still residing in the premises of Children's Hospital 2 and hand over the site.

For the Construction project to replace the Inpatient Treatment Block of Gia Dinh People's Hospital , the Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City will preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to consider and request the contractor to continue performing the contract according to its authority and regulations.

For the 3 projects of purchasing medical equipment for the General Hospitals of Hoc Mon, Cu Chi and Thu Duc regions , the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City assigned the Management Board of Investment and Construction of Civil and Industrial Works to urgently report and propose an extension of the implementation time according to regulations.

Regarding the Binh Duong General Hospital project with 1,500 beds , the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requested to urgently speed up the progress, strive to complete and put into operation in 2026.

Regarding the Binh Duong Tuberculosis Hospital Project and the Binh Duong Mental Health Hospital Project , the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to review and advise on additional funding to renovate, repair, invest in infrastructure, facilities and medical equipment from the city budget for the two hospitals according to authority and regulations.

Regarding the project to expand the Trauma and Orthopedics Hospital, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City assigned the Department of Health to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to review and advise on the relocation and handover of the site at 931-937 Tran Hung Dao Street to the Trauma and Orthopedics Hospital to soon implement the project.
