As soon as the water receded, Phu Yen Urban Environment Joint Stock Company mobilized maximum human resources and equipment to clean up the environment. The company mobilized 41 motor vehicles of all kinds and more than 500 workers to work continuously from 7am to 10pm to collect more than 500 tons of waste generated each day in heavily flooded areas.
In addition, Phu Yen Urban Environment Joint Stock Company also called for support from businesses inside and outside the province to speed up the recovery of natural disasters. Responding to this call, Quang Ngai Urban Environment Joint Stock Company and Kon Tum Urban Environment Joint Stock Company mobilized a total of 5 specialized vehicles and 35 additional workers. This force directly participated in collecting garbage in heavily flooded areas, where the amount of sludge and garbage swept from upstream formed a thick layer, causing traffic jams and serious pollution.

Mr. Doan Nhat Linh, Deputy General Director of Quang Ngai Urban Environment Joint Stock Company, shared: “We want to share the difficulties with local authorities in collecting garbage after the flood. The company has arranged vehicles, equipment and workers to the eastern communes and wards of Dak Lak to continuously support. The goal is that when there is no more garbage, we will withdraw it.”
In addition to the environmental force, in recent days, Dong Nai Provincial Police have also mobilized troops to support people in cleaning up after the flood. In Tuy Hoa Ward, where there is a large amount of garbage left behind, the unit has arranged 120 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local forces to collect garbage, dredge mud, and clear sewers. "We are ready to maintain and supplement forces if the locality needs it," said Lieutenant Colonel Pham Xuan Thinh, Deputy Head of the Economic Security Department of Dong Nai Provincial Police.
In Dong Hoa ward, where an estimated 90% of households were flooded, damage recovery work was urgently deployed immediately after the water receded. Mr. Huynh My Phong, Chairman of Dong Hoa ward People's Committee, said that police, military, youth union members and residents coordinated to clean up each neighborhood and each household. Schools, medical facilities and public works were prioritized for cleaning to welcome students and residents back soon.

Along with environmental sanitation, disinfection and disease prevention work are also given special attention. The health sector has coordinated with local authorities to spray disinfectants, instruct people on how to treat water sources and ensure hygiene in their homes. Preventive medical forces directly support cleaning wells, disinfecting domestic water with Cloramin B, alum and chemicals according to regulations.
According to the Deputy Director of the Chau Trong Phat Provincial Center for Disease Control, water treatment and environmental sanitation immediately after the water recedes is the top priority to prevent epidemics. For wells, people need to clear the puddles around the well, remove trash and mud, and treat the turbid water in the well by using alum or Cloramin B, Lime Chloride in moderate proportions mixed into the well, wait about 30 minutes to get water for use. The water after disinfection has a slight chlorine smell, and needs to be boiled before drinking to ensure safety. For drilled wells, people should pump out all the turbid water, then continue pumping for 10 to 15 minutes until the water is clear, then use it.
