Russian Navy ships visit Vietnam for friendship and joint training in Da Nang

The flotilla consisted of three ships: the corvette Rezkii, the corvette Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Cidengapov and the medium tanker Pechenga, with a total of 262 officers, sailors and service personnel, commanded by Colonel Anciferov Alexey Vitalievich.

The official welcoming ceremony for the delegation was held at Tien Sa port, with the participation of leaders of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Da Nang city, the Command of Naval Region 3 and the Command of Military Region 5. During the visit, the Russian Navy delegation laid a wreath at the Da Nang City Martyrs' Memorial, paid a courtesy visit to the city leaders and local military units.

One of the key activities of the visit is a joint training program at sea between the two navies, aiming to enhance the ability to coordinate operations and share experiences in ensuring maritime security and safety. In addition, the delegation also participated in cultural and sports exchanges and visited famous places in Da Nang.

The visit is considered an important milestone, contributing to strengthening the traditional friendship and strategic trust between Vietnam and the Russian Federation - a relationship that was upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2012. In particular, the event also affirmed Da Nang's increasingly active role in promoting international cooperation and defense exchanges.

The leader of the People's Committee of Da Nang City affirmed that the city is always ready to be a bridge to promote cooperation between the Navies of the two countries, opening up many opportunities in the fields of defense, economy, education and people-to-people exchange with Russian localities, through active support from the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Da Nang.
