TFS launches documentary "Shining Golden Bell"

On the afternoon of September 25, at BHD Star Cineplex - Vincom Plaza 3-2, Ho Chi Minh City Television - TFS Film Studio held the premiere of the documentary Golden Bell Shines (directed by Le Thi Thuy Trang).

The documentary Golden Bell Shining was produced by TFS to mark the 20th season of the Golden Bell of Southern Opera, a competition imbued with the cultural identity of the South, organized by Ho Chi Minh City Television since 2006. The competition has become a brand of Ho Chi Minh City Television, a place to inspire passion, a stage for performing talents of young people who love vọng cổ songs and cải lương art.

Over 20 seasons, the competition has given wings to many artists to pursue their passion for the stage and their determination to pursue a professional artistic career, while also helping to arouse the love of traditional art in the public, encouraging everyone to contribute to preserving and spreading the vitality of national art in social life.

The 40-minute documentary Golden Bell Shines reviews past seasons, memorable performances, behind-the-scenes footage, emotional memories of contestants, artists, bands, production crews, the birth of the programs Golden Bell Forever, Alluvial Sound... along with activities accompanying the Golden Bell contest, sharing of views and feelings of cultural researchers, the late Professor - Doctor Tran Van Khe, People's Artist Minh Vuong, Meritorious Artist - Musician Hoang Thanh... for the contest and the feelings of artists who became famous from the contest: People's Artist Ho Ngoc Trinh, Meritorious Artist Vo Minh Lam, Meritorious Artist Ngoc Doi...

After the film premiere, the artists participating in the Jury and Coaching Board of the 20th Golden Bell Contest - 2025, along with the documentary crew, had moments of interaction and shared a lot of information with young people who are students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Ho Chi Minh National University, Van Lang University... about the art of Southern Cai Luong.
