Thai Nguyen makes patriotic emulation movement a driving force for development

Comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council attended and directed the congress.

The congress was attended by leaders of central ministries, branches, provincial leaders of all periods, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Labor Heroes and more than 200 typical and advanced delegates.

The summary report of the patriotic emulation movement in the period of 2020-2025 of Thai Nguyen province shows that the emulation movements have been carried out practically and effectively, making great contributions to the common development.

Through emulation movements, Thai Nguyen has profoundly changed the face of rural areas and ethnic minority areas. The poverty rate has decreased rapidly, and it is expected that by the end of 2025, the average annual reduction rate will reach 1.41%.

Thai Nguyen province completed early the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor, near-poor households and policy families.

Thai Nguyen is a province with an economic growth rate of 7.3%/year, budget revenue increased from more than 16,000 billion VND in 2020 to more than 24,000 billion VND in 2025. The whole province currently has 1,095 domestic projects with a total capital of more than 1 million billion VND and 228 FDI projects with a total capital of more than 11 billion USD.

The rate of people participating in health insurance remains at 95% or higher; the rate of doctors reaches 17.2 doctors/10,000 people...

In the 2020-2025 period, Thai Nguyen had 137 collectives and individuals awarded the Labor Medal; 3 individuals won the title of National Emulation Fighter; 386 collectives and individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister; 99 collectives were awarded the Emulation Flag of the Government...

Speaking at the congress, comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, emphasized that Uncle Ho's sacred call on emulation "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation, those who emulate are the most patriotic" has become an invaluable source of energy that has fueled the will and aspiration to rise up of many generations of Vietnamese people.

Thanks to that, it has contributed to bringing our country's revolution from one victory to another, so that our country has the foundation, potential, position and international prestige as today. After nearly 40 years of renovation, our country has achieved great achievements of historical significance, our country ranks 32nd in the world economy, and 20th in the countries with large trade.

Thai Nguyen province has strategic advantages, rich revolutionary traditions, the center of Viet Bac base and the patriotic emulation movement plays an important role in creating sustainable development momentum for the locality.

He acknowledged and commended the patriotic emulation results that Thai Nguyen had achieved in the recent period. The achievements were vivid evidence of the patriotism and self-reliance of the people of all walks of life in the province.

From the emulation movements, many initiatives, new ways of doing things, good models, effective creativity have emerged that have been honored and replicated. "They are typical, brilliant flowers in the patriotic emulation flower garden of the province", Comrade Do Van Chien emphasized.

He affirmed that the new Thai Nguyen province, with its central location and strategic bridge between the northern midland and mountainous region and the northern delta, and its revolutionary homeland tradition, will make many contributions to the country's development.

He suggested that the province continue to thoroughly grasp President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts, the Party's guidelines, and the State's laws and policies on patriotic emulation. Emulation work must be closely linked to educating patriotic traditions, solidarity, and self-reliance.

Clearly defining emulation and rewards as one of the important contents in the direction, leadership and management of local authorities at all levels. Each emulation movement must be linked to the political tasks and development goals of each sector and field, becoming a specific and vivid action program, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere.

Organize and launch emulation campaigns with the aim of promoting creativity, sense of responsibility and aspiration to contribute of all classes of people. Consider it as the foundation and driving force to awaken endogenous strength, putting the interests of the people, the nation and the people above all else.

Promote key emulation movements associated with the implementation of the province's strategic development goals and tasks; take emulation effectiveness as an important criterion to evaluate the capacity and task completion level of cadres and party members.

Innovate and improve the quality of commendation work, ensure publicity, democracy, timeliness, and truly have a profound motivational and educational effect. It is necessary to pay attention to commending direct workers, people in remote, isolated, and disadvantaged areas, and individuals who have made many contributions to emulation movements and major campaigns.

Comrade Do Van Chien especially emphasized three key issues in emulation: Emulation must be associated with political tasks; emulation must have widespread influence; leaders of Party committees, authorities, agencies and units must set an example; rewards must be appropriate to reality and specific circumstances.

He hoped and believed that Thai Nguyen would promote patriotic emulation, realize aspirations, achieve the goal of comprehensively improving people's lives, build the province into a modern industrial center with high average income before 2030, and strive to become a developed province with high income before 2045.

At the congress, authorized by the Party and State leaders, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Class Labor Medal of the President to 2 individuals; Second Class Labor Medal to 14 individuals; Third Class Labor Medal to 1 collective and 31 individuals with outstanding achievements contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Awarding the Government's Emulation Flag to Thai Nguyen province and 11 collectives; awarding the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to 20 individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for the period 2020-2025; awarding the Certificate of Merit of the Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee to 24 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in natural disaster prevention, control and overcoming flood consequences in recent times.

At the congress, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province Pham Hoang Son launched the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2025-2030 with the highest determination, self-reliance, creativity, overcoming difficulties, bringing Thai Nguyen province and the whole country into a new stage of development.

The Congress announced the list of 21 delegates from Thai Nguyen province to attend the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress.

On this occasion, comrade Do Van Chien announced the transfer of 30 billion VND in support funds from the people of the whole country through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to help Thai Nguyen province overcome the consequences of the recent floods. Ecopark Group supported Na Ri Ethnic Boarding School with 1 billion VND to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
