
Nam Ha Tinh Irrigation Company Limited said that the water level of Ke Go Lake is at 31.15/32.5m, currently being regulated through Doc Mieu spillway with a flow rate of 90 cubic meters per second.
According to the forecast of the Ha Tinh Province Hydrometeorological Station, due to the influence of cold air combined with disturbances of the easterly wind zone in the upper atmosphere, from the evening of October 30 to the end of November 1, the whole province will have heavy rain, some places will have very heavy rain, with common rainfall of 150-300mm, some places over 400mm. In particular, rainfall in the southern coastal plains will be from 200-400mm, some places over 600mm. From the night of November 1 to November 2, the Ha Tinh area is forecast to have heavy rain with rainfall of 100-200mm, some places over 300mm.
In anticipation of heavy rain, to ensure the safety of the Ke Go reservoir and downstream areas, Nam Ha Tinh Irrigation Company Limited has announced that it will increase the water discharge through Doc Mieu spillway from 90 cubic meters per second to 100 - 350 cubic meters per second from 6:00 a.m. on October 31, depending on weather developments.

To ensure the safety of people and property of people in the downstream area, Nam Ha Tinh Irrigation Company Limited requests the Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 1 (the unit currently constructing and managing the main project) to arrange officers and employees to organize the operation of the spillway. At the same time, it requests the People's Committees of Cam Due, Cam Xuyen, Cam Hung, Thach Xuan, Toan Luu, Thach Ha, Thach Lac, Dong Tien, Thach Khe, Cam Binh communes and Thanh Sen, Ha Huy Tap, Tran Phu wards - which are affected areas in the system, to notify and instruct people to know and implement safety measures, avoiding carelessness, subjectivity, and unsafety during the operation and regulation of the reservoir.

Along with Ke Go reservoir, Nam Ha Tinh Irrigation Company Limited is currently releasing overflow from several large reservoirs in the province. In the face of complicated heavy rains, this unit has also increased the overflow flow of the reservoir to lower the water level and increase the flood prevention capacity.
Specifically, Song Rac lake overflows 353m 3 /s, and can be adjusted to increase the discharge flow up to 800m 3 /s; Thuong Song Tri lake overflows 50m 3 /s, and can be adjusted to 70 - 400m 3 /s... The overflow level will depend on weather developments.
Besides, Ho Ho Hydropower Plant also regulates the spillway with a flow rate of 150m3 /second.
