
Go to the flood area, grasp each place, support each house
In recent days, prolonged heavy rains have flooded Duy Nghia commune, isolating many villages. Hundreds of houses were flooded 3-4 meters deep, causing property damage and greatly affecting people's lives.
Division 315 (Military Region 5) organized a force of 29 officers along with vehicles such as boats ST640, ST450, canoes and equipment to support the people of Duy Nghia commune.

As soon as they arrived at the heavily flooded areas in An Lac and Nhon Boi villages, the Division coordinated with the People's Committee of Duy Nghia commune to come up with a plan to transport food and necessities to the people.
With the motto of "going to the flood-hit areas, grasping every place, supporting every house", the local forces and authorities supported more than 100 boxes of instant noodles; 30 boxes of dry food; 150 cartons of filtered water, 300 boxes of meat and fish produced by the unit.

Lieutenant Colonel Vo Duc Cuong, Deputy Division Commander and Chief of Staff, also visited and encouraged the families, shared their difficulties and together tried to overcome the impact of natural disasters.
In Xuan Phu commune, officers and soldiers of Brigade 574 urgently mobilized forces and vehicles, coordinating with local authorities overnight to help people respond to and overcome the consequences of floods.

Immediately after receiving the order, the unit mobilized dozens of officers and soldiers with rescue boats, life jackets, and specialized tools to quickly arrive at deeply flooded areas to move people to safety, especially the elderly, women, and children.
Along with that, the Brigade has supported food, drinking water, and essential necessities for isolated households, helping people temporarily stabilize their lives in difficult conditions.

During the mission, the force promptly supported and provided first aid to a sick person, and also approached and helped a family (9 people) who were isolated, hungry and thirsty for many hours on the new Ba Ren bridge on their way home. The officers and soldiers brought the family to safety, provided food, water and provided initial health care.
Help people overcome floods
In Hai Van ward, the water rose high and cut off many inter-village roads. In some places, the water rose more than 1 meter high and flowed rapidly. Two citizens, Nguyen SP and Ha VH, went to visit the garden in Truong Dinh residential group and were stuck in the flood and could not move. Upon receiving the news, the ward's military command coordinated with the locality to approach and promptly rescue them to a safe place.

In order to support localities, the Da Nang City Border Guard mobilized hundreds of officers and soldiers, implementing the "4 on-site" motto, supporting the evacuation of people, moving assets, building temporary houses and transporting essential supplies to isolated areas.
Present and directing at the mountain border posts, Colonel Nguyen Hoai Nam, Deputy Commander of the Da Nang City Border Guard, said that yesterday afternoon and evening, October 28, the units urgently deployed forces and vehicles, implemented measures to help people in the border area overcome the consequences of natural disasters and organize the evacuation of people to safety.

Accordingly, the unit deployed 25 working groups with nearly 200 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local authorities to assist in evacuating 175 households/632 people to safe places. The working groups focused on deeply flooded areas such as Hoi An Dong, Hoi An Tay, Thang An, Ngu Hanh Son and mountainous communes of Avuong, La Ee, La Dee...
Border guards also proactively supported people such as: Non Nuoc Border Guard Station sent 25 officers and soldiers to flooded areas; GaRi Border Guard Station, Tr'hy Border Guard Station, A Nong coordinated with local authorities to support households to move household items to safe places; propagandized people not to go to landslide areas and not to fish.

In particular, in La Êê and La Dêê communes, many landslides appeared along the DH4 route and the central area of the commune, forcing the authorities to evacuate people at night. The city's Border Guard continues to maintain more than 350 officers and soldiers along with 52 vehicles of all kinds on duty 24/7, ready to mobilize to rescue, search for missing people and support local authorities to overcome the consequences of floods.
In the vast flood, the presence and timely support of cadres, soldiers, functional forces and local Party committees and authorities have become a solid foundation for people to have confidence and soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
