Weather today October 31: Cold rain in the North, heavy rain in areas from Hue to Nghe An

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that last evening and night, October 30, cold air affected the weather in the Northeast. Then, the cold air continuously intensified, expanding its influence to the North Central, the Northwest and the Central Central regions.

On land, strong northeast wind level 2-3, coastal areas strong level 3. Due to the influence of cold air combined with disturbances in the east wind zone, there is rain in many places in the Northeast region.

In addition, the North and North Central regions are cold, and some mountainous areas are freezing. Hanoi area has rain and cold weather.

From yesterday evening, today and until the end of November 1, the area from Nghe An to northern Quang Tri will have heavy to very heavy rain. Rainfall is generally 200-400mm, in some places very heavy rain over 700mm.

From tonight until the end of November 1, the area from southern Quang Tri to Hue City will have heavy rain. Rainfall is generally from 70-150mm, in some places very heavy rain over 250mm.

From yesterday until 1pm on November 1, Ho Chi Minh City had moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms. Total rainfall was generally 70-140mm, with some places experiencing over 140mm. Heavy rain was concentrated in places such as Hoc Mon, Cu Chi, Bau Bang, Dau Tieng, Ben Cat... and especially Con Dao.

In the South, as of 1 p.m. on November 1, there was moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms. Total rainfall was generally 70-140mm, with some places over 140mm.

Regarding the flood situation, the flood on Thu Bon River continues to fall and is about 0.2m above the alert level 3. The flood on Bo River and Huong River continues to fall and is about 0.65m below the alert level 3. The Vu Gia River continues to fall and is 0.2m above the alert level 2.

Meanwhile, on rivers from Nghe An to Quang Tri, there is a possibility of a flood. During this flood, the flood peaks of the upper reaches of Ca River (Nghe An); Ngan Sau and Ngan Pho Rivers (Ha Tinh), Gianh River, Kien Giang River, Thach Han River (Quang Tri) will rise to alert level 2 to alert level 3, with some rivers above alert level 3.

Central Highlands cloudy, showers and thunderstorms, heavy rain in some places. Lowest temperature 19-22 degrees Celsius, highest 26-30 degrees Celsius.

Southern region has clouds, showers, heavy rain in some places. Lowest temperature 23-26 degrees Celsius, highest 28-31 degrees Celsius.
