With the strength that was considered higher, Hanoi Police (CAHN) entered the game very proactively by pushing up, organizing attacks, and pressing Hai Phong's field very early. With the lead, CAHN continued to maintain pressure on Hai Phong's goal. Just 6 minutes after the opening goal, in the 70th minute, from a pass from Quang Hai, Dinh Bac made an accurate pass to Leo Artur to successfully finish, raising the score to 2-0 for CAHN.

Losing by 2 goals, Hai Phong tried to push up the attack to find an equalizer. However, all the away team could do was score 1 equalizer thanks to Bui Tien Dung in the 90+3 minute. Winning 2-1 against Hai Phong, CAHN kept all 3 points at home.
