Having held the position of Deputy Secretary of the Town Youth Union for 11 years, in 2018, Mr. Duc was trusted to be appointed to the position of Secretary of the Youth Union. However, at that time, he was both responsible for the Youth Union and starting a business in the event field, and could not guarantee his job, so he proactively resigned from the position to focus on developing the startup economy, while continuing to actively contribute to local activities as a Youth Union member.

Sharing about his startup idea, Mr. Duc said: I got involved in the event organization field by working as an intermediary connecting MCs, musicians, sound and lighting equipment for weddings and local events. Gradually, after accumulating experience, I realized the potential to expand into production and decoration, and continued to expand operations by investing in opening two production workshops: A mechanical workshop specializing in processing frames and iron blanks and a flower workshop specializing in serving and decorating events and weddings.

Dare to think and dare to do, he boldly borrowed capital from banks and outside with a starting point of 500 - 600 million VND to invest in facilities and equipment for organizing events. Right at the time of the Covid epidemic outbreak, service activities were forced to suspend for 1.5 years. However, with the will to not give up, he made efforts to restore operations after the epidemic, and has now completely paid off the debt, while continuing to expand investment in equipment, machinery, and raw materials to enrich and diversify products. Currently, both workshops create stable jobs for 10 regular workers with an average income of 9-15 million VND/person/month, they are people around the village who come to work and train. As for the construction and installation sector, depending on the event area, he proactively recruits seasonal workers on-site to perform the construction, paying hourly wages ranging from 45,000 - 60,000 VND/hour, contributing to creating additional income for people in many different regions.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, a worker at the flower workshop, said: “I have been working for 3 years now, the daily work is maintained 8 hours/day, on days with many events requiring a large quantity of flowers, overtime is paid an additional 30 thousand/hour. For families in the countryside, this is a salary that meets the living needs. Therefore, when we need to recruit more employees, many women in the village come to register. In addition to this job, I combine animal husbandry and gardening, currently my family maintains more than a dozen pigs and a 1,300 m2 fish pond.

Currently, the flower supply at the factory is maintained at a stable level of 500 - 600 million VND/month, ensuring that raw materials are ready for event design and decoration as well as supplying to wholesale and retail outlets. Receiving much attention, not only serving the provincial market, Mr. Duc's flower and event frame products are also distributed nationwide through social networks such as Facebook, Zalo. Many customers and event owners from neighboring provinces such as Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Phu Tho , ... regularly come to the factory to order flower samples, order frames and discuss directly to have unique and diverse designs.

With the spirit of innovation, the business model combines production and services, Mr. Duc currently brings in a stable income of more than 1 billion VND/year, while creating regular jobs for many local workers, contributing significantly to the development of the trade and service economy. Chairman of Vinh Tuy Town People's Committee, Mr. Tran Van Tuan commented: "This is an economic model that both solves the problem of on-site employment and creates quality products and services. The contributions of comrade Nguyen Xuan Duc are proof of the direction to contribute to renewing the face of the rural economy and affirming the pioneering role of youth in the integration period".
