At the conference, Head of the Organizing Committee of Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee Tran Vu Khiem announced the decision of the Standing Committee of Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee on merging Quang Binh Newspaper and Quang Binh Radio and Television Station, establishing Quang Binh Newspaper and Radio - Television Station. This is a public service unit under the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, officially put into operation from May 1, 2025.

Quang Binh Newspaper and Radio - Television Station includes print newspapers, electronic newspapers, radio and television with headquarters at Quang Binh Newspaper headquarters and headquarters at Quang Binh Radio and Television Station. Work contents ensure operation according to the Converged Newsroom model.

The total number of staff assigned in 2025 of Quang Binh Newspaper and Radio - Television Station is 160 people, with 8 specialized departments, a 50% reduction compared to before the merger.

Editor-in-Chief of Quang Binh Newspaper Dinh Tung Lam was appointed to the position of Editor-in-Chief of Quang Binh Newspaper and Radio - Television Station. At the same time, Mr. Doan Xuan Thang, Deputy Director of Quang Binh Radio and Television Station; Mr. Nguyen Huu Toan, Deputy Director of Quang Binh Radio and Television Station; Mr. Cao Truong Son, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Quang Binh Newspaper were appointed to the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Quang Binh Newspaper and Radio - Television Station.

Quang Binh Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang emphasized that the merger and establishment of Quang Binh Newspaper and Radio - Television Station creates a foundation for the successful merger of press agencies of Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces, meeting the management and operation requirements of the newly merged province.

At the same time, the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee requested the unit to proactively develop plans and preparations for the merger with Quang Tri Newspaper and Radio - Television Station right after the holidays; review and evaluate the current status of personnel, facilities, technology, and operating procedures; propose a suitable, streamlined, and effective organizational model to meet the propaganda requirements in the merged province.
