On the morning of April 3, at Go Co village, Pho Thanh ward (Duc Pho town), the Union of Community Cooperatives for Sustainable Tourism Coordination held a conference to establish the Union of Community Cooperatives for Sustainable Tourism Coordination in 2025. Attending was Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Tien Dung.

The Union has 6 member cooperatives including: Go Co Village Community Tourism Cooperative; Go Ma Vuong Village Cooperative; Thanh Duc 1 Village Cooperative; Long Thanh 1 Village Cooperative; Sa Huynh Prehistoric Pottery Cooperative, in Pho Thanh Ward (Duc Pho Town) and Son My Peace- loving Community Tourism Cooperative, in Tinh Khe Commune (Quang Ngai City). Mr. Doan Sung, Director of Doan Anh Duong Investment and Development Joint Stock Company was elected to hold the position of Director of the Union of Cooperatives.
This is the first Cooperative Union in Vietnam to develop a network of community models coordinating sustainable tourism with the main areas of operation being rural tourism, heritage conservation, scientific research; community development; sustainable economic development. The establishment of the Cooperative Union will support and promote the community to develop sustainable livelihoods associated with the rural tourism value chain; contribute to supporting member cooperatives to build tourism products associated with heritage conservation, scientific research and application in community education activities, training of local human resources; linking tours - tourism routes; implementing community development programs to increase the value of rural tourism products - services.
With the orientation of sustainable development, the Cooperative Union sets the goal of connecting diverse cultural products and services of Sa Huynh - Champa and Dai Viet. In particular, 6 member cooperatives located in the southern and northern localities of the province and Quang Ngai City will be favorable conditions to diversify cultural experiences around the An Khe Lagoon area, promote traditional craft villages of pottery, salt, agriculture and fisheries; Tinh Khe commune area promotes peace-loving community tourism in Son My village... It is expected that in June 2025, the Union will deploy the "Village Heritage Park Network Tour" during the summer to attract tourists.

Speaking at the conference, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Tien Dung emphasized that the establishment of the Cooperative Union is very necessary, contributing to opening up opportunities to mobilize resources, investment capital, link, diversify products, and attract tourists. The Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism suggested that member cooperatives join together and build solutions to develop tourism more strongly. The Union's long-term and effective maintenance and development will have a positive impact, contributing to the development of Quang Ngai tourism, mobilizing investment capital to support tourist destinations in the province.
