On the afternoon of May 20, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a conference to review the Project on developing relations between Vietnam and Middle Eastern and African countries for the period 2016-2025. Over the past 10 years, the relationship between Vietnam and countries in the Middle East - Africa region has been promoted quite strongly. In particular, with the visit and working visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to a number of countries in the region in 2024, the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and countries in the Middle East - Africa region has reached many important milestones, marking a new stage of development in the relationship between Vietnam and regional partners.

The exchange of high-level delegations between Vietnam and countries in the Middle East - Africa region has been the most active in recent years, contributing significantly to tightening good political relations, consolidating personal relations between Vietnamese leaders and leaders of regional countries, and opening up great cooperation opportunities between the two sides.

In Quang Ngai, the export of the province's products to the Middle East - Africa market is only in the form of offering and introducing products to businesses through trade conferences organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ; there has been no direct investment activity by investors from the Middle East - Africa region.

In 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has identified a number of specific solutions to further enhance the effectiveness of cooperation in all areas with countries in the Middle East - Africa region. That is, continuing to concretize agreements and commitments during high-level visits, creating new momentum for economic, trade and investment cooperation, contributing to strengthening relations between Vietnam and countries in the Middle East - Africa.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang emphasized that in the coming time, the Ministry will actively coordinate with ministries, departments and branches in supporting and accompanying localities and businesses to innovate and create to improve the effectiveness of substantive and comprehensive cooperation in Vietnam's relations with countries in the Middle East - Africa region; continue to improve the effectiveness of economic diplomacy, considering this a focus in cooperation with countries in the region; maximize the effectiveness of signed agreements, support Vietnamese goods to penetrate deeper into the regional market; continue to innovate in trade and investment promotion; attract investment; continue to train and send highly skilled workers to work in Middle Eastern countries ...
