Thanh Mien still has 2 villages that have not elected village chiefs.

The rate of voters going to the election of village and residential area chiefs in Thanh Mien district reached an average of over 90%.

On December 8, 83 villages and residential areas of 17 communes and towns in Thanh Mien district simultaneously held elections for village and residential area chiefs for the 2024-2027 term.

On election day, 43,271 voters representing households in the district went to the polls, reaching a rate of 93.7%. Of which, 20 villages and residential areas had a voter turnout rate of 100%. The remaining units had voter turnout rates ranging from 75-99%.

As a result, 81 villages and residential areas elected village and residential area chiefs. Tu Xa village (Doan Ket commune) and Do Ha village (Pham Kha commune) had to re-elect because the candidates did not receive more than 50% of the votes. These units will re-elect at the end of December.
