Vinh City installs additional showers and changing rooms at Cua Lo beach

After residents and tourists complained about the shortcomings of free services at Cua Lo beach, Vinh city has directed relevant units to urgently rectify, upgrade and perfect the service system for tourists as soon as possible.

During this year’s holiday, Vinh city is piloting four free services in the Cua Lo beach area, including: parking, showers, public toilets and free wifi. This is a policy to improve the quality of tourism services, attract visitors and build a civilized and friendly image of Cua Lo tourism.

However, through actual operation during peak days, many limitations have been revealed. Some shower points have weak water flow, few faucets, leading to congestion of people waiting. Some toilets are reported to be unclean, smelly, affecting the experience of tourists. In addition, at some free parking lots, there is chaos and congestion, causing public outrage...

In response to the feedback in the press and social networks, the Vinh City People's Committee held a meeting to review experiences and urgently direct the implementation of remedial measures. Immediately after that, Nghe An Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company - the temporary unit in charge of managing the services, together with related parties, urgently implemented solutions to improve and complete the site.

The company has arranged 20 officers and employees to be on duty at Cua Lo beach to supervise and operate the items. Three specialized teams have been established including the electricity and water team, the construction cleaning team and the operation team with a total of 50 people to speed up the upgrading progress.

According to reporters' records on the morning of May 7, along Cua Lo beach, many workers are urgently building new bathing spots, renovating public toilets, installing changing rooms, adding more pumps...

The city has also installed two new water pumps and added two shower stations with a total of 18 new showers put into use. Thus, up to this point, the entire Cua Lo beach area has 20 shower stations serving tourists free of charge.

Specifically, in terms of technical infrastructure, the public shower system at Cua Lo beach has been significantly upgraded. Three 2,000-liter water tanks have been added to ensure a stable water supply. Small capacity pumps have been replaced with larger capacity ones to ensure sufficient water pressure for all showering points.

Not only that, foot-washing taps have also been installed around the bathing spots to ensure convenience for visitors after walking on the beach. The forces have repainted the lines at the free parking lots so that visitors can park neatly and avoid confusion.

In addition, the city also renovated and renewed toilet areas and changing rooms. All are aimed at satisfying tourists and creating the image of a civilized tourist city.

To ensure environmental sanitation throughout the tourist season, sanitation workers are mobilized to be on duty continuously in key areas. Cleaning and garbage collection are increased, especially on weekends and peak days. Monitoring teams also regularly remind residents and tourists not to litter, to use water sparingly, and to maintain public hygiene.

Mr. Le Sy Chien - Vice Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee said that the city has requested relevant units to complete all repair and upgrade items before May 9 to serve residents and tourists throughout the tourist season.

We take seriously the feedback from the people, tourists and the press. With a receptive spirit, the city has directed the immediate completion of necessary tasks so as not to affect the image of local tourism.

The city's timely intervention has received positive recognition from tourists. Mr. Tran Van Nam, Hung Dung Ward, Vinh City said: "Compared to the beginning of the holiday, the services are now much better. Just the other day, I heard many people complaining about the services, but now everything has improved significantly. Especially the shower area has strong water flow and the toilets are cleaner, no longer crowded. I support the city's timely and open-minded approach."

The fact that Vinh City quickly accepted the feedback and implemented remedial measures shows its willingness to learn and determination to improve the quality of tourism services.
