At the meeting, representatives of hospitals and medical centers in the province reported many difficulties and problems related to funding, equipment, machinery and facilities. Many units requested the Department of Health to continue investing in purchasing specialized equipment and machinery, as many of the equipment had been purchased a long time ago and are now damaged. At the same time, it recommended investing in information technology systems, allocating funds to deploy electronic medical records; having appropriate policies and regimes to attract and reward medical staff...
Deputy Director of the Department of Health Luu Van Dung said that as soon as possible, the Department will provide funding to units, including funding for epidemic prevention. Units that have epidemic prevention plans need to supplement and adjust the plan when necessary to suit the actual epidemic situation in the area.
For difficulties in human resources and means, units should re-evaluate existing assets, summarize the needs and report to the Provincial Center for Disease Control. At the same time, continue to pay attention to the work of fully vaccinating children under 1 week old, and strengthen the work of preventing and controlling dengue fever. In particular, the treatment unit urgently organizes training on dengue fever treatment regimens for both children and adults. Directors of regional health centers need to closely coordinate with newly established commune-level authorities to advise on the implementation of medical work in the area.
Concluding the meeting, Director of the Department of Health Do Thi Nguyen emphasized that the units will proactively resolve any difficulties that the specialized departments of the Department of Health have proposed solutions for.
Regarding assets, units need to clearly distinguish each type of asset for liquidation and settlement in accordance with regulations. For projects when put into operation, it is necessary to note that there must be a design document on wastewater treatment to comply with regulations. Digital transformation is a key task of the health sector, even though it is difficult, it must be done. The Department's Board of Directors and departments will support the units in implementation, there can be no delay.
Regarding the issue of repairing facilities, priority will be given to units that are developing specialized techniques, urgent issues, and issues directly related to people's lives. The Department of Health will conduct field surveys to make recommendations for solutions, creating the best working environment for medical staff. For problems beyond its authority, the Department of Health will recommend relevant departments, branches, and the Provincial People's Committee to resolve them.
