Removing all legal problems for Aqua City project in Dong Nai

On November 15, Novaland Group held an event to announce the implementation plan of the Aqua City riverside ecological urban project in Dong Nai. Attending the ceremony were Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Kim Long, leaders of Novaland Group and partners.

According to Mr. Duong Van Bac, General Director of Novaland Group, recently, the project encountered legal problems that caused investment activities to be interrupted, progress did not meet requirements, affecting customers and partners. Thanks to the close direction of the Government and the spirit of maximum support from the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches and sectors, the project has overcome the difficult period.

Specifically, at the end of June 2025, the authorities approved local adjustments to the 1/500 detailed planning for the component projects, marking the completion of the removal of all legal obstacles of the project. This is a major turning point to help the project restart comprehensively.

According to the plan, the project will be completed in 2026 and the group will also start construction of many important facilities such as: Schools, medical centers, multi-purpose entertainment centers, 5-star hotels... It is expected that in the period of 2025-2028, Aqua City will pay the State budget about 23,000 billion VND.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc highly appreciated the efforts and open-mindedness of Novaland Group in accompanying the local government to complete the project's legal procedures. The legal clearance and project restart not only helps businesses recover their operations but also creates momentum for infrastructure, urban, service and tourism development in the province. Aqua City will be a model for riverside ecological urban development, contributing to shaping a new face for Dong Nai.

The provincial leaders also highly appreciated the cooperation of enterprises and the government in overcoming difficulties, ensuring the harmony of interests between the State - enterprises - people. This is one of the key projects, of special significance in the province's urban development strategy, expected to contribute to shaping the appearance of a modern riverside urban chain, promoting the development of infrastructure - economy - society - tourism and services.

Provincial leaders expect that the enterprise will continue to develop strongly, expand investment, and implement more large-scale, quality projects in Dong Nai.

Aqua City project is being built along the Dong Nai river with a scale of more than 1,000 hectares, of which 70% of the area is reserved for green space, infrastructure and internal utilities. The project is located on Huong Lo 2 axis, directly connecting National Highway 51 and Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, in the future will benefit from a series of key infrastructure projects such as Dong Nai 2 bridge, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, Suoi Tien - Long Thanh metro line, Long Thanh international airport...
