In-depth discussion on socio-economic development solutions

On November 19, the Provincial Party Committee held the 18th Conference (phase 1) chaired by comrades: Pham Dai Duong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Cao Thi Hoa An, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Ta Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

 

Also attending were comrade Vu Quang Trung, Deputy Head of Local Department II, Central Organizing Committee; comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Provincial Party Executive Committee; leaders of departments, branches, sectors, unions of the province and localities.

At the conference, delegates gave their opinions on a number of contents to be submitted to the Provincial People's Council meeting at the end of 2024, including: The implementation of socio-economic, national defense and security tasks in 2024 and tasks and plans for 2025; The estimated implementation of the state budget estimate in 2024; State budget revenue estimates in the locality, local budget expenditures and provincial budget allocation plan in 2025; The implementation of the public investment plan in 2024 and the public investment plan in 2025; Adjustment and supplementation of the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025 from the provincial budget; The policy of establishing wards in Song Cau town and establishing Song Cau city, Phu Yen province. These are very important contents, having a great impact and influence on the socio-economic development of the locality in 2025 and are a premise for development in the next period.

 

The report on the implementation of socio-economic, national defense and security tasks in 2024 by comrade Le Tan Ho, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said: In the context of many difficulties, with the efforts and joint efforts of the entire political system, businesses and people, the socio-economic, national defense and security situation in the province continues to be stable and has some development. It is estimated that in 2024, the province will have 14/17 targets that meet and exceed the plan; the remaining 3 targets do not meet the plan: GRDP growth, state budget revenue, total development investment capital in the area. Social security policies, people's health care are guaranteed and timely attention. National defense and security, social order and safety are maintained stably. Party building work is focused. The quality of operations of the political system at all levels is increasingly improved, basically meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Pham Dai Duong requested each member of the Provincial Party Committee, heads of departments, branches, sectors and localities to continue reviewing and evaluating the implementation of the directions, resolutions and action programs of the Central Government, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Standing Committee to have solutions to lead and direct the implementation to achieve the set progress, goals and requirements. Localities, agencies and units resolutely direct the work of budget collection; strictly and economically manage state budget revenue and expenditure, avoid waste; promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, fully complete legal bases, promote the progress of project implementation and completion, create conditions for local socio-economic development; speed up the disbursement of public investment capital. Localities, agencies and units resolutely implement solutions to promote administrative reform; Continue to arrange and consolidate a streamlined, effective and efficient organizational structure, associated with restructuring the staff with sufficient qualities and capacities to meet the assigned tasks and requirements.

 

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: In recent important articles and speeches, General Secretary To Lam has asked us to be ready to enter a new era, an era of the Vietnamese people's rise. This is a new policy and orientation, with strategic vision for national development, of great political significance, which needs to be thoroughly understood throughout the Party, the entire people, the entire army and implemented with high political determination. Therefore, Provincial Party Committee members, heads of departments, branches and localities need to promote a high level of responsibility, in the spirit of understanding the General Secretary's policies and orientations, focus on leadership and direction, and strive to achieve the highest goals and tasks set for 2025 and the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress.
