Overview of the 2025 Customer Conference in Thanh Hoa

At the Conferences, leaders of Power Companies and representatives of NSMO (National Electricity System and Market Operation Company Limited) informed about the electricity security situation, and emphasized the important role of customers in coordinating the effective implementation of load management, adjustment and shifting programs. This close cooperation not only helps maintain the safe and stable operation of the power system but also plays an essential role in promoting sustainable socio-economic development in the locality.

In particular, the Conference is also a bridge for the electricity industry to listen to sincere comments from customers - an important factor helping EVNNPC continue to improve service quality, enhance the experience for organizations, businesses, individuals and households using electricity. At the Customer Conference of Hai Duong Power Company Limited, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thien - Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of EVNNPC shared: "The Northern Power Corporation is supplying electricity to more than 11 million customers. The commercial electricity output in 2024 will reach nearly 100 billion kWh, accounting for 35.8% of EVN's total commercial electricity output and is the leading unit in commercial electricity output among the 5 distribution corporations under EVN.

In the period of 2021-2025, the Corporation has been implementing investment projects with a total capital of up to hundreds of thousands of billion VND for the 220kV, 110kV power grid and medium and low voltage power grids in localities, focusing on urgent and key projects in industrial parks and clusters to promptly ensure power supply, contributing to socio-economic development and maintaining national security and defense.

At the Conferences, Mr. Thien also requested local authorities at all levels to direct departments, branches, socio-political organizations to mobilize people and businesses to use electricity economically and efficiently according to Directive No. 20 of the Prime Minister. At the same time, create favorable conditions for organizations and individuals to develop self-produced and self-consumed rooftop solar power sources; continue to pay attention to and support the Electricity industry in the process of implementing procedures related to investment in construction of power projects, approving the list of important loads and annual power supply plans. Mr. Thien also called on customers to proactively develop reasonable production plans, avoid operating high-capacity equipment during peak hours, implement the electricity saving program well, actively install rooftop solar power, register peak loads during peak hot months and commit to not using more than the maximum capacity during peak hours, in order to improve the quality of load forecasting, and coordinate well with local electricity in adjusting and shifting loads.

Speaking at the Thanh Hoa Electricity Company's Customer Conference , Mr. Mai Xuan Liem - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized the important role of the electricity sector in the local socio-economic development. He affirmed: "The electricity sector not only contributes to promoting the construction progress, completing industrial infrastructure, improving the investment environment, but is also a driving force to attract new projects, create jobs for workers, support the development of manufacturing and service industries and increase budget revenue. More importantly, the electricity sector also ensures social security, especially in remote, isolated and particularly disadvantaged areas of the northern provinces and cities, including Thanh Hoa".

In Hai Phong, Mr. La Thanh Tan - Member of the City Party Committee, Deputy Head of the City's National Assembly Delegation proposed: "The electricity sector continues to invest in power sources and grids to meet the economic, political and social development needs of Hai Phong city".

He also assigned the departments, branches and sectors to proactively propose to the city leaders incentive mechanisms and support capital sources to help businesses upgrade and renovate production lines, modern technology machinery, save electricity, conduct energy audits for large customers, develop in association with the green economy; research to support organizations and individuals to install self-produced and self-consumed rooftop solar power; strengthen inspection of energy saving use according to Directive No. 20/2023 of the Prime Minister.

In Bac Ninh, Mr. Luu Bao Trung - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of the province highly appreciated the initiative and creativity of Bac Ninh Electricity Company in propagating and coordinating the implementation of the load adjustment program to a large number of customers. He especially praised the business community and large electricity users for their active and responsible cooperation and sharing of difficulties with the electricity industry.

Customer conferences in provinces and cities are also practical forums for businesses and large customers to share experiences in shifting, adjusting loads, using electricity safely, economically and effectively, bringing benefits to all parties - both for the individual and for the country.
