The event aims to honor the outstanding contributions of more than 23,000 female union members, Agribank employees and outstanding collectives and individuals; marking a strong change in emulation and reward work, serving as a driving force for the entire system to successfully complete political tasks and business activities, welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels, the 11th Agribank Party Congress towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress, creating a premise to strive to implement the 5-year plan 2026-2030 and the development strategy to 2030, vision 2045.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Comrade Pham Toan Vuong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Members, General Director of Agribank said that in the period of 2020-2024, Agribank continuously affirmed its position as the leading bank in Vietnam in terms of quality and operational efficiency, actively contributing to socio-economic development, innovation, and application of technological advances in all areas of operation.

By April 30, 2025, Agribank's total assets will reach over VND 2.3 million billion; total outstanding loans to the economy will reach nearly VND 1.8 million billion, of which outstanding loans in the agricultural sector account for about 65%, credit quality is always well controlled; mobilization exceeds VND 2 million billion, of which Agribank's residential capital always accounts for the largest proportion; annual profits will reach and exceed the assigned plan, with 2024 alone reaching VND 27,307 billion, an increase of VND 14,341 billion compared to 2020.

Along with that, the Movement "Good at banking, good at housework" in the period of 2020-2025 has motivated more than 23,000 female employees, a force accounting for over 56% of the total staff of the whole system, to constantly strive to study, be creative and contribute. Agribank has constantly improved the equal working environment, recognizing the outstanding contributions of the female team. Female Agribank staff play a core role in credit consulting activities, supporting agricultural and rural development, creating livelihoods for millions of workers; at the same time, they are pioneers in applying digital banking, optimizing business processes, and promoting digital transformation at the unit.

“These figures are clear evidence of the tireless efforts, solidarity and determination to innovate of the entire Agribank system,” affirmed comrade Pham Toan Vuong.

In recognition of Agribank's important contributions to the development of "Tam Nong" and the country's construction, the Party, the State and the Banking sector have awarded Agribank many noble awards in the period 2020-2024 such as: First-class Labor Medal in 2023; Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister in 2021; Emulation Flag of the State Bank in 2023; Certificates of Merit from the Governor of the State Bank in 2020, 2022, 2024: Top 10 Vietnamese Banking Brands in the 500 largest banking brands globally, Top 10 Largest Enterprises in Vietnam (VNR500); Agribank won the Special Prize at the "Green Bank for Green Life" Contest...

To achieve these achievements, comrade Pham Toan Vuong emphasized that emulation and reward work plays an extremely important role in creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere throughout the system. Emulation movements become a great source of encouragement to arouse the tradition of loving the industry and profession, encouraging cadres and workers to work enthusiastically and strive to excellently complete assigned tasks. In addition to the emulation movements launched throughout the system to complete regular annual tasks, there are also many emulation movements/programs associated with enhancing comprehensive efficiency between expertise and trade unions that have been launched and actively responded to throughout the system. In particular, a number of typical emulation movements have made significant contributions to Agribank's business activities, helping Agribank excellently complete the tasks assigned by the Party and the State Bank.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Dao Minh Tu, Permanent Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam emphasized that, as a 100% state-owned bank, with the leading scale and market share in Vietnam, playing a key role in investing in the development of agriculture, farmers and rural areas, with a traditional foundation and brand for many years, many generations of Agribank staff have made positive contributions to the overall achievements of the whole industry, including the efforts of typical advanced collectives and individuals formed from the emulation movements of the entire Agribank system honored today. Collectives and individuals are excellent, dynamic, creative examples, overcoming difficulties and challenges, and are the core elements actively contributing to the achievements of Agribank.

Conference Overview

On behalf of the SBV's Board of Directors, Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu acknowledged, commended and warmly congratulated the collectives and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the performance of Agribank, as well as creating social trust and enhancing the prestige and position of the banking sector in recent years.

However, there are still many difficulties and challenges ahead, and the tasks and responsibilities of the banking industry as well as Agribank are still very large. Therefore, the Deputy Governor requested Agribank to continue to strongly innovate the content and form of emulation movements associated with the Bank's sustainable development goals. Organize emulation movements on green credit growth, develop digital banking services, improve customer service quality, etc.

Prioritize direct rewards for workers, increase the rate of rewards for the right people, the right job, promptly encourage, spread, and replicate advanced models, avoid the disease of achievements and formalities. Strongly apply information technology in emulation and reward work: from managing records, evaluating titles to submitting records online on public services, ensuring convenience, transparency, and accuracy.

At the same time, improve and enhance the quality of the activities of the Emulation and Reward Council, the Initiative Council and the advisory role of specialized apparatuses in charge of emulation and reward work at the grassroots level; improve the quality of the team doing emulation and reward work from headquarters to the grassroots level; ensure that these are dedicated, knowledgeable and prestigious people to effectively implement the work; continue to link emulation with building a clean and strong Party and mass organization; promote the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style...

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade To Huy Vu - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members of Agribank affirmed that the Deputy Governor's instructions are the guiding principles for Agribank to continue to promote its pioneering role, maintain its position as a leading commercial bank and make practical contributions to the economic growth target of 8% in 2025 as well as double-digit growth in the period 2026-2030. Agribank seriously accepts and commits to effectively implementing strategic priorities in the coming time.

In particular, in the emulation and reward work - the soul of every movement, we are determined to strongly innovate in the spirit of Directive 41-CT/TW, building practical and transparent emulation movements, closely linked to political tasks and digital transformation strategies. Agribank will focus on discovering, nurturing, and spreading advanced models at the grassroots level, improving the quality of rewards, ensuring timeliness, right people, right work. At the same time, we will build a team of professional emulation officers, playing an effective advisory role so that emulation movements truly become a strong driving force to promote the sustainable development of Agribank, Comrade To Huy Vu affirmed.

At the Conference, authorized by leaders at all levels, Permanent Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Dao Minh awarded the Third Class Labor Medal to Comrade Pham Toan Vuong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Members, General Director of Agribank; the Government's Emulation Flag to 2 collectives, Agribank Lam Dong Branch, Agribank Nam Dinh Branch; and the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to a collective of 7 individuals of Agribank. Also at the Conference, representatives of the Agribank Board of Directors honored the achievements of collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for the period 2020-2025. In addition, to recognize the achievements of female workers, the Party Committee, Board of Members, and Executive Board decided to award a banner to female workers of Agribank.

Within the framework of the Conference, Agribank launched an emulation movement to excellently complete tasks and business plans for the 2025-2030 period to create an exciting atmosphere and determination to successfully carry out political tasks and business plans for the 2025-2030 period.
