The time for checking documents has been reduced from 2 hours to nearly half, the time for checking actual import and export goods has been reduced from 8 hours to more than 5 hours... The process of managing import and export goods in the customs sector has been completely digitized, helping the green lane rate increase up to 70%, so the time for processing and clearing goods has been halved, bringing many competitive advantages to businesses.

Previously, Truong Hai International Transport Company had to spend several days traveling to complete and submit documents to the customs authority, but now it only takes about 1 hour for the documents to be completed on the electronic system. Thanks to that, the company's shipments were quickly cleared through customs.

In fact, when the import and export management process is digitized, it has brought many competitive advantages to businesses. The Customs report said that the green channel rate for import and export goods has reached 70%, the yellow channel rate has decreased to more than 20% and the red rate has dropped to less than 5%.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan - Deputy Head of Information Technology and Customs Statistics, Customs Department said: "As the standing agency of the National Steering Committee on ASEAN Single Window, National Single Window and Trade Facilitation, the Customs Department will continue to upgrade and deploy the national single window public service portal system connecting with ministries and branches in receiving and returning results with over 200 administrative procedures in the field of import and export goods management; performing the role of national focal point in connecting and exchanging data on CO, declarations as well as quarantine documents... with ASEAN countries and other countries, thereby creating maximum convenience for businesses in customs clearance of goods".

This year, the Customs sector will promote the application of information technology, digitize import and export management processes, thereby cutting 32 administrative procedures, simplifying 92 procedures, completing the target of cutting at least 30% of unnecessary business conditions for enterprises. These are goals of great significance in improving the investment and business environment, increasing competitiveness for the economy .
