This morning, October 25th, Van Lang University, in collaboration with Microsoft and InterEdu Education Organization, co-organized the Vietnam Education Innovation Award Ceremony 2025-2026. The event aimed to recognize schools, teachers, and education experts who are pioneers in applying technology in teaching, learning, and management, contributing to promoting digital transformation and improving the quality of education in Vietnam.
The event was attended by representatives from the National Council for Education and Human Resource Development, Microsoft Vietnam, InterEdu Education Organization, leaders of provincial Departments of Education and Training, and many experts, managers, and lecturers from educational institutions nationwide.

By 2025-2026, Vietnam will have 2,500 educators who have innovative applications of technology in teaching, recognized by Microsoft as creative education experts.

According to information from the ceremony, on September 24th, Microsoft announced the list of over 900 Model Schools (MSS) and 43,000 Microsoft Innovative Education Experts (MIEEs) for the 2025-2026 school year globally. Of these, Vietnam has 29 schools and over 2,500 innovative education experts, an increase of nearly 200% compared to the previous school year.
The MSS award recognizes educational institutions globally that are pioneers in educational innovation and digital transformation, through the effective application of Microsoft technologies and solutions in teaching, learning, and school administration. The MIEE award recognizes educators who have innovative applications of technology in teaching, contributing to the spread of a culture of innovation and the development of digital skills within the global education community.
The Vietnam Education Innovation Recognition Day is an annual event held since 2021, aiming to honor schools and teachers who have made efforts in the digital transformation journey and applied information technology creatively and effectively in teaching and management.
At today's event, Van Lang University was officially recognized by Microsoft as a model digital school, becoming the first university in Vietnam to achieve this title.
Dr. Vo Van Tuan, Vice Rector of Van Lang University, said that in the 2025-2026 academic year, the university will have 91 lecturers recognized with the MIEE title. In addition, 188 lecturers have achieved the MCE (Microsoft Certified Educator) international certification.
