Within the framework of the 1st Autumn Fair - 2025, on October 27, the Conference on trade promotion, investment and business connection between Vietnam and China took place.
The conference was attended by Mr. Vu Anh Son, Director of the Import-Export Department ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ); Mr. Le Hoang Tai, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade)...
On the Chinese side, there were Mr. Ly Chan Dan, Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam; Mr. Chau Luong, Director of the Investment Promotion Center, International Trade Promotion Committee of Shandong Province, China...
According to Mr. Le Hoang Tai, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency, the comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and China has reached a new height when they joined hands to build a "Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future of Strategic Significance". In the first 9 months of 2025, Vietnam's import-export turnover with China reached 184.04 billion USD, an increase of 23% over the same period in 2024, which is a testament to bilateral economic cooperation.
Mr. Le Hoang Tai acknowledged that trade promotion is the bridge that helps businesses of the two countries shorten the distance, turning potential into practical cooperation opportunities. Under the direction of the Government , the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Trade Promotion Department have closely coordinated with many Chinese agencies, especially the Shandong Provincial International Trade Promotion Committee, to organize a series of fairs, exhibitions, and conferences to connect trade both online and in person.
These efforts not only help Vietnamese businesses expand their partner network and find outlets for their goods, but also contribute to diversifying export markets and reducing dependence on traditional markets.
The 1st Autumn Fair - 2025 is a national-scale playground that brings together all economic sectors, from large and small enterprises, cooperatives to international corporations.
Participating in the Fair, the Chinese business delegation with nearly 100 units and 47 booths occupied most of the international exhibition area, introducing diverse products, from manufacturing industry, high technology, construction materials to consumer goods, agricultural products, and handicrafts.
This is an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to directly access supply sources, technology, machinery, and materials - factors that are urgently needed for the production transformation process, improving quality and reducing input costs. In parallel, a series of direct trade conferences are held within the framework of the Fair, helping Vietnamese enterprises connect with Chinese partners, learn about needs and negotiate cooperation agreements on the spot.
"The Trade Promotion Agency is always ready to accompany and support the business communities of both sides in the cooperation process, promoting agreements and projects to achieve practical and sustainable results," affirmed Mr. Le Hoang Tai.

Opportunity for businesses of both sides to create sustainable cooperation projects
At the conference, Mr. Ly Chan Dan, Commercial Counselor, Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, said that the 2025 Autumn Fair is a substantial trade promotion platform to help the two countries strengthen cooperation, especially in the context of the reshaping of the regional supply chain.
"China and Vietnam are each other's top economic and trade partners. In 2024, bilateral trade turnover exceeded 260 billion USD; and in just 9 months of 2025, this figure reached 214.5 billion USD, an increase of nearly 13% over the same period last year," Mr. Ly Chan Dan informed.
According to him, large-scale trade promotion events such as the Autumn Fair have helped businesses on both sides take advantage of geographically close markets, cultural similarities, and high complementarity in production.
"The 2025 Autumn Fair is a national economic and cultural event, opening up a platform for integration between trade, investment, culture - tourism and innovation. This is a reliable cooperation playground for investors and trade partners in the region as well as in the world," Mr. Ly Chan Dan affirmed.
For Vietnamese enterprises, participating in the Fair does not only involve trading goods but also technology transfer, investment cooperation in production, and development of domestic value chains. Fields such as processed agricultural products, supporting industries, green production, and digital transformation are opening up clear opportunities for cooperation with Chinese enterprises, which have strengths in technology and scale.
Moreover, through exchange activities, networking conferences and exhibition booths, Vietnamese enterprises have the opportunity to learn modern promotion models, market approaches, quality standards and international consumption trends, thereby improving their products, services and management capacity to participate more deeply in the regional supply chain.
"The top leaders of the two Parties and the two States attach importance to effectively utilizing trade promotion activities to expand markets and increase substantive cooperation," Mr. Ly Chan Dan emphasized, adding that this is a valuable opportunity for businesses of both sides to jointly create sustainable and mutually beneficial cooperation projects.
The 2025 Autumn Fair takes place in a special context, celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations, and at the same time being the Year of Humanitarian Exchange between the two countries. Therefore, the event not only has commercial significance, but also symbolizes friendship, trust and aspirations for common development.
