Ha Giang Provincial Police informed that, related to the case of violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences that occurred at the Department of Education and Training of Ha Giang province, on July 2, the Investigation Police Agency of Ha Giang Provincial Police continued to prosecute and temporarily detain 3 subjects: Phung Thi Hoa (born in 1968, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance); Pham Van Khuong (born in 1959, former Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training) and Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen (born in 1972, Deputy Head of the Department of Continuing Education under the Department of Education and Training of Ha Giang province) for irresponsible behavior in the process of implementing the tasks of the target program of education in mountainous areas, ethnic minority areas, and difficult areas in the period 2016-2021.

According to the Ha Giang Provincial Police, these defendants have caused huge losses to the state budget. Previously, in January 2024, the Investigation Police Agency of Ha Giang Provincial Police prosecuted and temporarily detained Mr. Nguyen The Binh (born in 1975, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ha Giang Province) to investigate violations of regulations on management and use of state assets causing loss and waste; temporarily detained Mr. Vu Van Su (born in 1958, former Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ha Giang Province) to investigate violations of regulations on bidding causing serious consequences, along with a number of former officials of the Department of Education and Training of this province.
