Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Hong Chuong, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, affirmed that the synchronous deployment of the external emergency system in neighboring areas is an important step in the roadmap to implement Project 912 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on developing a professional external emergency system by 2030 and the following years. The new stations need to be fully prepared with human resources, vehicles, and medical equipment to be ready to respond to all emergency situations, especially accidents and mass injuries.

Previously, Dr. Nguyen Duy Long, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City 115 Emergency Center, said that the city has gradually standardized the coordination regulations between outpatient and inpatient emergency care, strengthening the connection between hospitals and the 115 emergency system. The force participating in outpatient emergency care is also trained in the ABCDE approach and treatment. The 115 hotline also provides consultation and first aid instructions over the phone, helping people with initial treatment while waiting for the emergency team to arrive, contributing to saving the lives of many critical cases.

According to Dr. Nguyen Duy Long, with the launch of 6 new satellite stations including Thu Dau Mot Regional Medical Center, Ben Cat, Tan Uyen, Bac Tan Uyen, Bau Bang and Phu Giao, the number of emergency stations in Region II increased to 8, bringing the total number of stations in the city to 59. In the coming time, the emergency network will continue to be expanded to remote areas, while mobilizing the participation of private medical facilities to ensure timely emergency services, covering all residential areas.
