According to information from the Departmentof Education and Training of Quang Ninh, Ha Long High School for the Gifted has 1,010 candidates registered for admission to grade 10. The school enrolls 12 specialized classes, including 2 specialized English classes; each class has no more than 35 students.
According to statistics, the first choice to register for the English major has the highest number of candidates with 231 candidates. The other specialized classes all have the number of candidates registering for the entrance exam much higher than the enrollment target.
Each specialized subject has its own exam according to the secondary school curriculum; the exam questions for specialized subjects ensure high levels of understanding, application and application.
Foreign language subjects apply a combination of essay and objective multiple choice tests to assess listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. In particular, the Computer Science subject tests computer programming. The remaining subjects apply essay tests.
According to a quick report from the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ninh , during the exams of specialized subjects, the work of ensuring security and safety for the exam continued to be carried out seriously, with no unusual incidents occurring.
The specialized subjects tested on the morning of June 3rd had 631 candidates participating in the exam out of a total of 636 candidates registered to take the exam; 5 candidates were absent and did not participate in the exam (1 candidate in Literature and 4 candidates in English). There were no invigilators and candidates violated the exam regulations.
The "Exam Support" activity was organized at all exam locations to help ensure order, safety and provide useful support for candidates and their relatives in the hot weather. Along with that, candidates in the whole province were well prepared in terms of knowledge, taking the test seriously with high awareness.
According to plan, the exam marking and grading will take place from June 4 to June 14.
