From 6:00 a.m. on June 7, more than 50 volunteers were present at the Nguyen Trai Secondary School (Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi ) exam site to support the 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools in the 2025-2026 school year.
The volunteers' duties include: guiding candidates into the exam room, reminding parents not to stop or park illegally, maintaining order in front of the school gate, and being ready to assist candidates when they have problems.

Serious, but not pressuring candidates for public grade 10 entrance exams
Nguyen Viet Ha, member of the Secretariat of the Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and team leader of the volunteer team at the Nguyen Trai Secondary School exam site, shared: “Although there was a pre-arranged assignment and arrangement, this year’s team was a combination of many different units, causing initial coordination difficulties. However, the volunteers were all very enthusiastic and proactive.”
Having never worked at this school before, the volunteer team had difficulty in arranging the team when coordinating with local forces. However, with a sense of responsibility and solidarity, the young people quickly adapted, ensuring effective support for candidates and parents.

Tran Hai Ly, a second-year student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, said that the days of the exam were hot and sunny. In hot weather, many parents wanted to pick up their children quickly after the exam.
“Some parents stopped their cars right in front of the school gate to pick up their children, causing traffic jams and making it difficult for vehicles to move. My friends and I had to coordinate quickly, stand in a line to create a soft median strip to ensure that vehicles moved in an orderly manner, not encroaching on lanes, and maintain safety and ventilation in the area before the exam site,” Ly emphasized.

The relay team not only gathered students from universities, but also had the active participation of many students, including those who were contestants from previous years.
Bành Hoàng Tiến Huy, a student of class 11A5 at Nhân Chính High School, could not hide his emotions when sharing: “Two years ago, when I took part in the 10th grade entrance exam, I received enthusiastic support from volunteers and that inspired me to want to become a volunteer to have the opportunity to help the students in the next class”. This is the second year Huy has participated in the exam support volunteer program.
For many volunteers, besides the joy of contributing to an important exam, recognition from parents and candidates is the greatest source of encouragement to continue the work.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Yen (Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi) shared: "Seeing my child being enthusiastically and thoughtfully cared for by volunteers right from the school gate, I feel very secure and grateful for their help."
With a sense of responsibility, enthusiasm and dedication in every action, the team of volunteers at the examination sites has made an important contribution to the success of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year, creating a safe, humane and warm exam season.
The entrance exam for grade 10 of non-specialized public high schools for the 2025-2026 school year in the city will take place on June 7 and 8.
On June 7, candidates completed two of the three subjects of the exam: literature and foreign language.
On June 8, candidates took the final exam - Math, with 120 minutes to complete.
