Asian stock markets rebound after sharp decline

Asian stock markets rose in afternoon trading on November 6, recovering some of the previous day's sharp declines, as investors watched a recovery on Wall Street as jobs data eased concerns about the US economy.

In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 index rose 1.3% to close at 50,883.68 points. In Hong Kong (China), the Hang Seng index rose 2.1% to 26,485.90 points. In Shanghai, the Composite index rose 1.0% to 4,007.76 points at the end of the session. Stock markets in Sydney, Singapore, Taipei, Mumbai, Manila, Bangkok and Jakarta also rose.

Investor sentiment has started to recover after a sell-off on November 5th due to concerns that AI was creating a bubble. Many are concerned that the rapid growth of AI this year could lead to a bubble bursting.

Stock investors continue to pay close attention to developments in Washington, after a majority of US Supreme Court justices expressed doubts about the legality of wide-ranging tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump.

In Vietnam, at the end of the session on November 6, the VN-Index decreased by 12.25 points (0.74%) to 1,642.64 points, and the HNX-Index decreased by 0.55 points (0.21%) to 266.15 points.
