
Storm No. 13 made landfall in the Central Highlands and South Central regions on November 6, causing serious damage to the power system in many localities, especially in Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces.
Immediately after the storm dissipated, EVNCPC held an emergency meeting, mobilizing more than 1,300 workers and engineers along with specialized vehicles and equipment, and deploying shock teams to fix the problem with the goal of completely restoring power supply in the next 3 days to more than 1 million customers still without power.
As of noon on November 7, the entire EVNCPC system recorded 463 medium-voltage incidents; of which, 110 incidents have been restored, and 353 are still being handled. On the 110kV grid, 30 incidents occurred, causing power outages at 20 110kV transformer stations. Units have restored many key lines and stations, including: Gia Lai Power Company restored 5/22 lines and 4/16 stations; Dak Lak Power Company restored 3/6 lines and 3/4 stations; Quang Ngai Power Company restored 1/2 of the lines.
Currently, Gia Lai still has about 630,000 customers without power (64.5%), Dak Lak has 262,000 customers (27.7%). Power units are concentrating forces, coordinating with localities to urgently overcome the problem, prioritizing power supply to residential areas and essential loads.
EVNCPC aims to complete the restoration of power supply to central areas of wards and communes on November 7; within the next 72 hours, basically restore the entire power system in the Central Highlands - Central region, ensuring safe and stable power supply for people in areas affected by storm No.
