
The power outage occurred in 39 communes and wards across the province, mainly in the eastern localities with 32 communes and wards; the rest were in the western communes and wards.
According to Dak Lak Electricity Company, as of 11:00 a.m. on November 7, the company had restored power to 3.8% of the total number of customers in the province, equivalent to 36,010 customers.
Currently, the province is still experiencing power outages on 6/44 110kV lines; of which, 4 lines belong to the electricity industry and 2 lines belong to customers. There is one 110kV transformer station that has lost power completely.
The province has had 90 power outages on medium voltage lines and sections. The total number of distribution transformer stations without power is 3,506, accounting for 33.11% of the total transformer stations in the company.
In Tuy Hoa ward, the power outage occurred across the ward on the evening of November 6 when the storm made landfall. By the morning of November 7, some areas had still not been restored. People had to use generators for daily activities.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lanh (Tuy Hoa Ward) said that the power outage occurred in her residential area from the evening of November 6 to the morning of November 7. As of 11:00 a.m. on November 7, it had not yet been resolved. She had to use a generator to generate electricity, but due to overload, she also encountered a problem.
Although less affected by storm No. 13, in the western region of Dak Lak province, 7 communes and wards experienced power outages.
According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Thao, Chairman of the People's Committee of MDrak commune, due to the impact of storm No. 13, the power grid in the commune was seriously affected. The storm wind broke 5 22kV power poles and 1 transformer station; broke 1 35kV power pole; some 22kV and 35kV power poles were tilted. From noon on November 6 until now, the whole commune has been completely without power. Currently, units are trying to overcome the power outage to promptly supply power to the people.
Recorded in the eastern localities of Dak Lak province on the morning of November 7, many trees and electric poles fell, causing severe damage to power lines in many areas. Currently, Dak Lak Electricity Company is still making efforts to overcome the consequences of the natural disaster.
