Mobile propaganda contest 'HCMC'

The Ho Chi Minh City Mobile Propaganda Contest is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the People's Committee of Thu Duc City and districts. The permanent unit is the City Information and Exhibition Center. The contest is for mobile propaganda teams from cultural centers, cultural - sports centers, cultural - sports centers, cultural - sports and media centers of Thu Duc City and districts.

The propaganda content of the contest revolved around the themes of praising the strength of national unity in the cause of building, protecting and innovating the country; praising the achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Ho Chi Minh City have achieved in the past 50 years; praising the humanity and affection of the people of Ho Chi Minh City.

The organizers said that each participating unit will create a propaganda performance, with a minimum duration of 15 minutes and a maximum duration of 20 minutes. Each team will have no more than 30 people, with 2 official propagandists. The teams participating in the contest will use songs from the collection Ho Chi Minh City - The City I Love published by the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association, but can also compose their own songs or choose other songs (but must notify the organizers in advance).

The organizers plan to hold the contest, set up exhibition booths... in the central area as well as adjust the organization on weekends to attract viewers. The contest will take place from March 12 to March 14, at the corner of Le Loi - Nguyen Hue Street (Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City). The opening ceremony is expected to be held on the evening of March 12.

Musician Nguyen Quang Vinh - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association said that since the beginning of 2022, the association has launched 4 campaigns to compose songs about Ho Chi Minh City. The song collection Ho Chi Minh City - The City I Love includes 30 songs selected by the art council.

"These songs are the result of a creative campaign and commissioning of composers. Of which, 3/4 are cheerful propaganda and encouragement songs, the remaining 1/4 are specialized works. We have enough genres to develop into stories for the performance. The Ho Chi Minh City Music Association has filmed 30 MVs and created background music for the teams to use effectively in propaganda work through the competition. The teams have the right to mix, arrange, and rearrange the songs to suit the performance," said musician Nguyen Quang Vinh.
