Children compete to celebrate major holidays and anniversaries

The competition attracted 21 teams from 11 communes and towns, with more than 400 team members from primary and secondary schools in the district participating. For the content of "Team Ceremony", the teams practiced the Team ceremony; sang together; played big games with contents such as Morse code translation, secret letters, and folk dance performances. The competition aimed to evaluate the quality of Team activities and the team member training program, and promote the Team activity movement at the grassroots level.

In March 2025, the Can Tho City Youth Union Council directed 100% of primary and secondary school teams to simultaneously organize the "Healthy Children - Stepping Up to the Youth Union" Festival, attracting more than 163,000 team members to participate. The festival included schoolyard performances, aerobic performances, folk games, and folk dances to the music of songs praising the love of the homeland and country.

In particular, the City Youth Union launched a peak competition for children to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). Accordingly, from March 27 to April 30, the teams organized many activities related to the theme of the 5 weeks of competition, including: "Can Tho children celebrate the reunification of the country", "Creating with the homeland", "Proud of Vietnamese children", "Good children of Uncle Ho - Stepping forward to the Youth Union", "Journey to the red address - Ready to move forward".
