Poetry by Le Thanh Van: Listening to my child read poems about the Fatherland

(GLO)- In the poem "Listen to my child read poems about the Fatherland", author Le Thanh Van lets his emotions flow naturally: from the tears when remembering the war to the quiet faith in future generations. The poem is like a bridge connecting the painful past and the peaceful present.

I sat reading a poem about the Fatherland.

The country after many years the wound is healed

Listening to you read makes me tear up.

A time of bombs and war.

Read more, child, so that when you grow up, you will

I understand the whispers in the veins of life

There is the blood of many fallen people

When our country was divided between North and South.

In the garden at noon, the trees are bustling with voices

The sun shines down on the high blue dome

How can the innocent eyes understand everything?

What I want to say today!
