These two poetry collections offer poetic voices about war, suffering, and the yearning for peace , transcending language barriers to reach the hearts of readers. The simultaneous launch of these two poetry collections by poets from two different cultures has attracted the attention of the literary world and poetry lovers.

According to poet Tran Dang Khoa, Vice President of the Vietnam Writers Association, the poetry of Nguyen Quang Thieu and Murad Sudani is not limited by linguistic or geographical boundaries, but directly touches human emotions through pain, compassion, and profound humanism.

Under the Olive Tree is the latest bilingual poetry collection by poet Nguyen Quang Thieu, published by the Vietnam Writers Association Publishing House. It includes works he wrote during a field trip to Palestine with other Vietnamese writers, where war, religion, and politics intertwine, leaving deep wounds in people's lives.

The two authors share their thoughts on poetry, compassion, and the yearning for peace.

Alongside Nguyen Quang Thieu's poetry is the collection "Murad's Stone" by poet Murad Sudani, President of the Palestinian Writers' Association. In his poems, images of people, stones, blood, and words blend together, creating a fierce poetic world yet one imbued with a yearning for freedom.

The common ground between the two poetry collections lies in the humanist spirit and sense of responsibility of the writers. Poetry is not just for enjoyment, but to awaken conscience… As poet Tran Dang Khoa observed, it is the depth of emotion and the universality of humanity that has helped the poems of the two authors overcome language barriers, becoming the common voice of people who know pain and who love peace.
