Cold weather below 10 degrees, Hanoi primary school students are off school

On the morning of January 23, the weather in Hanoi is forecast to be 9.9 degrees. Many elementary schools have announced that students will be off school, but teachers will still be available to look after their children if parents bring them to school.

Previously, based on the guidance of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, schools had notified parents that primary and preschool students would be off school if the weather was below 10 degrees Celsius; and secondary school students would be off school if the weather was 7 degrees Celsius.

Immediately after that, many schools announced that students would be off school. At Dai Tu Primary School in Hoang Mai District (Hanoi), homeroom teachers announced to parents of each class: "Due to the cold weather below 10 degrees, the school will let students stay home today (January 23)."

Van Dien B Town Primary School, Thanh Tri District, announced that students will be off school on January 23 and asked parents to continue monitoring weather information for the following days to proactively plan to take their children to school.

Early this morning, Kim Lien, Thai Thinh, and Nam Thanh Cong Primary Schools in Dong Da District (Hanoi) also sent out notices, allowing all students to stay home from school to ensure their health.

Although the school announced that students would be off school, it still arranged for teachers among the students for families who could not afford childcare.

According to the reporter's records, when students are on vacation, if parents still bring their children to school, the school will take measures to protect children from the cold and organize lessons to review and consolidate knowledge.
