Weather on May 13: Thunderstorms in the Central Highlands and the South

(PLVN) - According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today, showers and thunderstorms, with some heavy rain in some places, are likely to occur in the Central Highlands and the South.

The Hydro-Meteorological Agency forecasts that in the afternoon and evening of May 13, the Central Highlands region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places experiencing heavy rain with rainfall of 15-30mm, and some places over 70mm.

The Southern region has scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 10-30mm, some places over 50mm.

Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains may cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.

Hanoi

Cloudy, sunny day, no rain at night. East to Southeast wind level 2-3.

Lowest temperature: 22-24 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperature: 30-32 degrees Celsius.

Northwest

Cloudy, sunny during the day, showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Light wind.

Lowest temperature: 20-23 degrees Celsius, some places below 19 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperature: 30-33 degrees Celsius.

Northeast

Cloudy, sunny day, no rain at night. East to Southeast wind level 2-3.

Lowest temperature: 21-24 degrees Celsius, mountainous areas below 20 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperature: 29-32 degrees Celsius, some places above 32 degrees Celsius.

Thanh Hoa - Hue

Cloudy, sunny during the day, with showers and thunderstorms in some places in the late afternoon and evening. Light winds. Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 21-24 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperature: 28-31 degrees Celsius.

Da Nang - Binh Thuan

Cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Southwest to South wind level 2-3. Thunderstorms are likely to produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 23-26 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperature: 30-33 degrees Celsius.

Central Highlands

Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening, locally heavy rain. Southwest to South wind level 2-3. Thunderstorms are likely to cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 20-23 degrees Celsius.
