In the Central and South Central regions, rain increased sharply. It is forecasted that during the day and night of October 25, the area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai and the eastern part of Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces will continue to have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms; the average rainfall will be 80-170mm, in some places exceeding 350mm. Particularly from Thua Thien Hue to Quang Ngai and the eastern part of the Central Highlands, the average rainfall will be 30-70mm, in some places over 150mm. From early morning of October 26 to early morning of October 27, the Quang Tri - Quang Ngai area will continue to have moderate rain, heavy rain with the average rainfall of 50-100mm, in the highest place over 200mm.
In the South, during the day and night of October 25, Khanh Hoa , Lam Dong provinces and the Southern region will have moderate to heavy rain, with some places experiencing very heavy rain of over 100 mm. Thunderstorms pose a risk of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind, so people should be on guard.
At sea, strong winds and big waves continue. At Bach Long Vi station, strong northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7 were recorded; at Ly Son, strong north winds of level 6, gusting to level 7. It is forecasted that during the day and night of October 25, the sea area north of the North East Sea (including Hoang Sa sea area) will have strong northeast winds of level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9, waves 3-5 m high, rough seas.
The sea area from South Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa has strong northeast wind at level 6, gusting to level 8; rough sea, waves 2-4 m high. On the night of October 25, the Gulf of Tonkin has northeast wind at level 5-6, gusting to level 7-8, rough sea. In addition, the sea areas from Hue to Ca Mau, the Gulf of Thailand, the middle and southern East Sea (including the Truong Sa sea area) have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with the possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting recommends that people in the Central Highlands and Central Vietnam regions should be on guard against the risk of landslides and localized flooding; fishermen should not go to sea during periods of strong seas.
