Through studying the draft documents of the 14th National Congress of the Party, the majority of cadres, party members and people of Tuyen Quang province agreed with the structure and theme of the Congress, assessing that the theme fully covered the core issues in the country's development strategy, agreed on 5 guiding viewpoints, general development goals and main goals for the period 2026 - 2030. Tuyen Quang people also agreed with 13 development orientations, 6 key tasks and 3 strategic breakthroughs in the coming period.

Commenting on the implementation of the Party's 13th National Congress Resolution and the country's progress after 40 years of reform, Ms. Vu Thanh Nhuan, Party member and Head of the Front Committee of residential area 5, Y La Ward, Minh Xuan Commune, shared that the report truthfully reflected the economic development situation of our country in the context of a rapidly changing, complex, unstable, unpredictable, and difficult world, especially COVID-19…

With unwavering will, aspiration for development, innovative thinking, great efforts, and decisive action, our Party has firmly led the country to continue achieving very important, comprehensive, and breakthrough results with many outstanding highlights. Specifically, economic growth in the period 2021-2025 is expected to average approximately 6.3% per year. The GDP size in 2025 is estimated to reach over 510 billion USD, 1.47 times higher than in 2020, ranking 32nd in the world , and GDP per capita is expected to reach approximately 5,000 USD…

In reality, over the years, thanks to the attention of the Party and the State, the lives of the people have improved significantly. Major policies and guidelines of the Party and the State have been widely implemented, bringing practical benefits to the people, such as: the National Target Program on New Rural Development, the National Target Program on Poverty Eradication, the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the period 2021-2030, and the Program to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses… Through these programs, rural areas, ethnic minority areas, and areas with special difficulties have received investment in infrastructure development, creating conditions for people to develop their economy, improve healthcare, and enhance children's education…

According to Ms. Vu Thanh Nhuan, the evaluation report needs to include the results of implementing tasks related to the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. In addition, the draft document should include an assessment of outstanding achievements in the organizational structure of the political system, Party building work, and the results of studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh.

Regarding limitations and weaknesses, it is necessary to frankly acknowledge them and clearly state the solutions to be implemented in areas such as land management, food safety, counterfeit goods trade, and high-tech crime. The report needs to provide a deeper assessment of the achievements, especially regarding "The socialist-oriented market economy continues to develop; macroeconomic stability is maintained, growth rate is sustained at a relatively high level; the quality of growth has improved, and the scale and potential of the economy have increased" to clearly reflect the country's development situation.

Strengthening the people's trust in the Party

Referring to Party building and the political system, Mr. Nguyen Van Anh from Trung Son commune (Tuyen Quang province) expressed his agreement to continue strengthening the building and rectification of a clean and strong Party and political system; resolutely fighting against corruption and negative phenomena; promoting socialist democracy and the people's right to self-governance. Along with that, he emphasized the need to continue resolutely and relentlessly combating corruption and negative phenomena without exception or forbidden zones; improving the quality of cadres and Party members; and strengthening control over power and preventing vested interests. This is considered a fundamental and core issue to enhance the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization, or in other words, the "root" of all issues, contributing to consolidating the people's trust in the Party and the State in the next term.

Mr. Nguyen Van Anh also agreed with the pilot program of a 5-year term for grassroots Party branches directly under the higher-level Party committee. Furthermore, he concurred with the goal of rapid and sustainable national development, striving to become a developing country with modern industry and high middle income by 2030, and a developed country with high income by 2045, following the socialist orientation.

According to Mr. Anh, the document needs to clarify and deeply analyze the economic growth model associated with restructuring the economy, promoting industrialization and modernization of the country; have more specific and stronger policies to support farmers in applying science and technology, participating in value chains, building brands for local agricultural products, and solving the problem of "bumper harvest, low prices"; pay attention to economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; and add the goal that by 2030, people will be exempt from medical examination and treatment costs.

Alongside economic development, the State and local authorities must have solutions to protect the environment, which is a crucial factor for sustainable development; they must also pay attention to investing in healthcare development, especially in training human resources, strengthening infrastructure, and transferring new and advanced technologies to the grassroots healthcare system…
